About Anne Koebley
I vacationed on the Outer Banks as a child and also as the young married wife of a dental student. Ocracoke still has the old feel of what going to the beach is all about: being with family, soaking in the sun, making sand castles, and just enjoying life in the moment.
Anne Koebley purchased this Cottage in 1999
Why Anne Koebley chose Ocracoke
My husband and I fell in love with the relaxed village community that exists on Ocracoke and our wonderful house that brings a feeling of closeness to us when we are there.
What makes this Cottage unique
Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened-in porch as you experience the closeness of life on a canal. On the water you see birds and fishermen passing in their boats, and hear the sounds of the natural wildlife. Mallard families explore the waters as well. Children young and old love to fish or catch crabs in the canal.

A Jewel On Ocracoke
We were very fortunate to be able to stay at Horatio Too! It is a lovely home on a delightful canal and close to everything! Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood off Sunset it was the perfect base for our visit with good friends. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy a comfortable vacation. Hope we have the good fortune to be able to rent this gem again.
Well kept historic home with lots of local charm!
Our stay was great, home was well kept, well equipt, and clean. Location was perfect! Will visit again!
Everything and more than we hoped for!
I don't want to give away this fabulous little Ocracoke secret. But have to say it's a true island gem.
We stayed for a week at Horatio's Too. It was spectacular!! We were able to enjoy beautiful weather and a wonderful breeze off the canal with the family in this delightful house.
What Obx is suppose to be like
House was well taken care of and has the charm of what the Obx was like when you came to the beach years ago. Thanks for preserving a peace of history.
Wonderful, quaint get away!
My group of 4 rented this cottage for a wedding weekend and it was perfect! We so enjoyed drinking coffee on the screened in porch and being right on a canal was very convenient. Would 100% rent this cottage again. The owners were very responsive and friendly as well.
Wine tasting at Zillie's, deep sea charter fishing, yoga, massage, Historic Portsmouth Island tours, Live local entertainment, Blackbeard the Pirate Exhibit (Blackbeard lived and was killed on Ocracoke), miles of pristine beaches.
