Guestbook comments from the manager

My extended family + dog enjoyed our 3 night stay during Christmas week in this comfy home in a quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks from downtown. The home fronts on a wooded lot several acres in size which neighborhood folks use for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and dog walking. Our dog loved plowing through the snow. The home itself has all the basics for a cozy winter stay, including items with more nostalgia than practical value, like ancient 8 track tapes, which we didn't try. There is much history in this house, based upon the array of old family photos on the walls. This helped us get into the holiday spirit. We cooked all our meals in. There was plenty of kitchenware, including a crockpot. We all agreed that we would come back here again. Our snowy stay left us with a warm glow

Clean and comfortable. Plenty of bedding for all, hide-a-bed in couch and extra pillows was nice.

We went to McCall for snowmobiling vacation and

the location was great. House is not big by no means, but has plenty of room for 8 of us, and when we had visitors. Parking on the street and in driveway was good for trucks with trailers. Price was right! Would recomwnd and would go again !

Nice cabin close to town

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the enclosed backyard and large living/dining/kitchen.

The beds could be larger/more comfortable with a bigger tv but overall the cabin did well.

No Frills Place

  • 3 of 5

Great location, quiet neighborhood and well stocked kitchen. Interior decor is very basic and a little old side. Back outdoor patio deck was spacious but the furniture, again old, and backyard not very well maintained. I feel with a little effort this area could be made much more inviting like the front yard is. Also, it would be nice if the owners would invest in a larger BBQ. The one provided is very small and would not be sufficient to grill a meal for more than two people. Thanks to the neighbor, Tom across the street for lending us his grill for the weekend. We would not have been able to feed our tribe of six had it not been for his generosity.

Overall, the rental was ok, however feel the rate was a little high for the value.
