The home, with its generous natural light, exceptional mountain views and vaulted ceilings throughout, just begs its occupants to relax and simply enjoy each others company. From the easy flow of the kitchen area, the fun of the Bunkhouse, and the inviting Living Room, deck and patio areas, your family will enjoy all the homes amenities without feeling crowded or in each others way.
Location, location, location. Matterhorn Place is located in Flagstaff's iconic, centrally-located Swiss Manor neighborhood. The home lies directly below the lava dome flanks of Mt. Elden with the Flagstaff Urban Trail System and corresponding outdoor activities beginning just a few short minutes away.
Recently remodeled, the property is immaculately clean and tidy. Adorned with special decorative touches, all with a regional flair, you’re family will literally feel “right at home” the minute they walk through the door.
The house is expansive enough and the floor plan so inviting you can have multiple families easily accommodated while not feeling overcrowded or in each others way. There’s plenty of room to go around. The Kitchen is fully stocked and the bathrooms have had the special attention needed to comfortably accommodate a house-full of guests. The bunkhouse is the perfect getaway for the kids by day, and a haunt for the adults by night. Poker anyone? And, it’s perfectly temperate year-round!
The beds, featuring either memory foam or pillow-top construction, are as comfortable as any can be, assuring you all the needed rest your busy time in Northern Arizona will require. The “main floor” bedroom with its bathroom in close proximity and private access to the expansive deck is a sure hit with seniors, or allows for some versatility and privacy if there are several family’s staying together at the same time. The front porch is a great place to chill, providing unprecedented views of the mountains and great people watching as the locals walk their dogs in the evenings. The rear deck is big!, overlooking the flagstone patio area just below. The fire pit in the middle of the patio will warm even the coldest on a winter’s night or provide just the right ambiance as cocktail hour wanes on a cool Flagstaff summer night.
The house is capped at 10 guests. But not to worry, there is a real bed for each and everyone. (The 5th queen bed is a top quality pull-out). The garage and driveway will easily accommodate 5 autos so you’ll never have to worry about being short of parking space during snow season or having a “parking issue” with the neighbors.
Swiss Manor neighborhood is known locally as one of the best places to live in Flagstaff. Its central location allows quick, easy access to virtually everything in town, and, to the many natural and cultural wonders of Northern Arizona via all major roads and highways. Easy getting around.
Consisting primarily of owner-occupied single-family homes, Swiss Manor is family-friendly, safe and provides some of the quickest, easiest access to the great outdoors- the primary reasons visitors come to Flagstaff. Access is literally 200 yards away, connecting you to the labyrinth of hiking, running, mountain biking, etc., trails that makes Flagstaff world-recognized. The property’s owners have lived here for 35 years and have stayed in the Swiss Manor neighborhood themselves because of all the neighborhood offers.
To the relief of our guests, you won’t find yourself caught in the noise, congested traffic and university mayhem of downtown and west Flagstaff- and this includes avoiding all the traffic congestion during winter to the Arizona Snowbowl. Back roads, anyone?

Concerning the waiver of cleaning fees, the owner, at his/her sole discretion, can rescind this offer at any time if it is determined the property has been left in an unusually unkempt/dirty state by guest(s). A fee of $175 will be deducted from the lessee’s security deposit if the property is left in an unacceptable condition
A Special Event Fee will apply for any event >10 people
