About owner/property manager
My husband are from Kentucky and we bought the house in June of 2015. We love the house and we love the area. That's why we decided to share "our home" with others. We know you will love it as much as we do.
owner/property manager purchased this House in 2015
Why owner/property manager chose Boca Ciega Ridge
The property is so close to everything you could possibly want. Within 2 miles you can be on Gulf Blvd where there are a multitude of beautiful beaches, restaurants, shopping and so much more. Head south on Gulf Blvd and within just a few minutes you will find the beautiful cities of Treasure Island and St. Petersburg or head north to Clear Water Beach and arrive at Clearwater Beach and the Clearwater area. If you want to venture out even further you can be in Tampa in about 15 minutes.
What makes this House unique
There are 2 grocery stores, several drug stores, restaurants, bars, banks and shopping within 1/2 mile of the house. Only 1/4 mile down the road is the Pinellas Trail. It's a 40 mile bike and walking trail that takes you all over the area.

Plenty of room
Plenty of room for a family of seven. Close to beach. Kitchen was well supplied
Great location, fast communication with owner. Only a handful of golf courses are close to house
Property is older but well maintained.
Everything was great except the beds could have been better. The neighbourhood is awesome, the yard is great and the house easily fits two families. We had a wonderful time.
Please tell me what we need to improve about the beds. The mattresses are fairly new so I’m not sure what we need to change. I want to make things great for our guests. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Beautiful home, with plenty of room 10/8/18 to 10/13/18
Barbara wanted to say thank you for allowing me and my family to stay in ur beautiful house, grandkids loved the pool, pool was little cold for us adults.... Will definitely pay the extra to warm the pool water....you and ur husband where so kind and was quick to resolve any issues we had.... Would recommend to anyone.. We hope to be back again soon... PS it is cold here in TN 60 now with a low of 48 tonight I sure do miss the warmer weather...
Thank you for taking good care of our home. We are glad you enjoyed your time here.
Beautiful, comfortable & would recommend
I rented this house for a Girl Scout trip. What started as 4 adults & 5 girls ended up being 2 adults & 3 girls so the house had plenty of room for us to spread out. We loved the pool, the beds were comfy & the location was convenient to everything we needed or wanted. The only item we missed in the kitchen was a cookie sheet. Closest beach is less than 5 minutes and was very nice. We stayed thru the first week of October so no crowds anywhere we went. Thank you VRBO & Mrs. Barbara!!
Thank you for your review and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for taking care good care of our home while you were there.
Pictures looked great but the house was not.
Front yard was just weeds while yards around were very well groomed and had great lawns. Lighting in the kitchen was deficient with the one over the sink not working at all. MB toilet was loose and rocked. Could never get hot water in the MB soaker tub. Also, drain did not hold. Sink drain stopper missing in MB sink. All mattresses had a plastic mattress covers and this made for sweaty nights. Would propose different covers over the plastic. Up stairs bedrooms with queen beds were good if you were a single person because otherwise both occupants were together in the valley of togetherness!
Outdoor security lights over garage were missing bulbs and the pool lights did not work or we could not find the switch that made them work. Front yard needs some grass to go along with the beautiful stand of weeds. All other yards in neighborhood had a great stand of St, Augustine! One upstairs bedroom ceiling fan growled like pit bull when running and needs to go! Take you own knife if you want slice anything the ones that are there have used to saw wood and had no edge at all! One chair at the kitchen table had a bad leg and the welds broke resulting in my daughter sitting in the floor unexpectedly.
I have rental property and know that stuff happens but the owner needs to go and spend the night there periodically so they can know the status of theirs.
On a positive note the pool was clean , the house was clean and the AC worked well and the price was good.
I apologize if you did not enjoy the house. As you can see all reviews prior to yours were 5 star with a couple of 4 stars. Bulbs do go out and furniture does break and we are very good about replacing those items when we are notified of the issue. We live an hour away but always drive up and take care of any issues if the renters let us know. We would have done the same for you if you had contacted us with your issues. We do stay at the house periodically when there is an opening to check things out. We make it a point to sleep in each of the beds and have not experienced the togetherness you mentioned. All mattresses are less than a year old. Based on your comments we have bought and replaced the knives, replaced the ceiling fan and the stoppers in the master bath.. However, there is a knife sharpener in the kitchen drawer. There are some yards with sod in the neighborhood but at least half of them are just like ours. We keep the yard well mowed but grass just does not grow well in Florida. The pictures of the house show the yard just as it is now. Yes we could put down sod. However, that is very expensive and would result in us having to raise our prices. We like to keep prices as low as possible because our home due to the size and location attracts mostly larger families. And anyone with a large family knows how expensive vacationing can be for that many people. The plastic mattress covers are for the protection of our guests. We felt that was a much more sanitary option than cloth covers. We do keep some cloth covers in the downstairs closet next to the bedroom in case someone wishes to use them. Again I apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and hope your vacation was good otherwise.
There is so much to choose from in the St. Pete Clearwater area. One of my favorite places is Johns Pass. It's about 5 miles from the house and has dining, shopping, entertainment and beautiful sunsets over the ocean.
