About Felicia Stephens

The owners are proud to share their river and mountain house with others to enjoy a quiet place in the woods. Recently retired from the building and development industry, the owners have decided to share their second for others to enjoy the uniqueness of the location.

Felicia Stephens purchased this house in 2002

Why Felicia Stephens chose Dawsonville

Nestled between Calhoun Creek and the Etowah River literally feet from both is the main reason for building this second home. This uniqueness alone is one to be shared, not kept to ones self. The peaceful setting and remote location, with close proximity to many modern conveniences, make this the perfect get-a-way location.

What makes this house unique

Get away from it all location. The river and creek along with the wildlife in the area provide the most peaceful surrounding to leave the world behind. Come fish in the river, sit on the porch in the swing, talk a hike in the woods or just sit back and enjoy the silence of nature.

Beautiful quite setting!!! At the end of the dirt road!

  • 4 of 5

We loved this beautiful mountain house. Beautiful views from both porches with the river in one side and the creek on the other! My grandkids loved playing in the creek. We had to clean our path off to the creek but no problem. Everything was great except the beds were not the most comfortable especially one in the basement. Hardly ever do we go on a vacation and have good restful beds which is disappointing. But the days were perfect!!

Best vacation rental ever for out family of 12. Wonderful Christmas memories made here Dec 2017.

This rental is amazing! Located halfway between Dahlonega (quaint small town) and Dawsonville (amazing outlet shopping) down a long toad through the woods sits this beautiful, 3 level cabin/home, amidst beautiful scenery, with hills and streams all around. It has a large porch (part screened) all around, inviting you to leave your cares behind and stop and sit for a while. Or, to take a long walk in the woods, exploring nature, if that is your type of relaxation.

It is the best maintained and cleanest rental, we have ever had, and has everything you will need. But don’t come thinking you will do a little work on the side, we had no phone or internet reception, without going back to the main road. But we soon realized how wonderful that could be. However, there is a landline phone for emergencies, and they have satellite tv with enough tv’s for all throughout the house.

Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. I can not think of anything they could do to improve our stay. We were there on a very cold weekend in Dec, 2017, and it was toasty warm and had plenty of hot water for all 12 of us. If you are looking to make some memories, this is the place for you. We thank the owners for providing this amazing rental for our family to enjoy!

Secluded Quaint Hideway

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay if you're looking for a nice hideaway with more than plenty of room for your party. Everything well set up and hostess information was spot on. Beds were very comfortable and more room then expected. The only challenge was the outdated coal grill, was very small and made it difficult to cook on.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The whole atmosphere was so peaceful and blessed. The cabin itself was amazing and a beautiful view from the porches. We had everything that was needed in the cabin and enjoyed out stay greatly at this place.
