About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Our Mountain Getaway II is a charming two-level, 3 bedroom/3 bath log cabin with outstanding mountain views and the privacy of a heavily wooded area. It is in the heart of The Great Smoky Mountains, with easy access and is less than two miles off of Highway 19 (Soco Rd) in Maggie Valley.

You will enjoy the fantastic mountain views and listen to the sounds of the creek below as you relax on the deck after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Our Mountain Getaway II has lots of large windows to take in the wonderful mountain views. Maggie Valley stands above all the places that boast a Smoky Mountains vacation. The only place actually surrounded by mountain ranges in all directions. The higher elevations mean cooler temperatures and more spectacular views. The cabin’s elevation is approximately 3300 feet.

Our Mountain Getaway II, as indicated above is a two level log cabin with the master bedroom in the loft. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a bath with a walk in shower. There are two bedrooms on the lower level along with two additional baths, both with shower tub combos. All furniture and fixtures are brand new and the kitchen is fully equipped and ready for cooking. We supply all paper products including paper towels, napkins, paper plates, tissue paper and facial tissue. We also have a supply toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.) if needed for your use and all linens, including sheets, blankets and towels are provided for your use.

In the summer and fall seasons you can enjoy listening to country bands and bluegrass music around Maggie Valley. The Maggie Valley Festival Grounds are only three miles from Our Mountain Getaway II. A complete listing of Festivals coming in 2012 can be found on The Maggie Valley Website. You will also find great shopping, restaurants and all types of evening entertainment.

Great view, Clean, Quiet and Private

  • 5 of 5

Very clean, spacious cabin with plenty of room for 6. Fully equipped kitchen, outside grill, lots of deck space. Well furnished with comfortable beds. Excellent location central to a lot of sites and attractions in Western North Carolina including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountains NP, Cherokee Reservation, and the wonderful Waynesville, Maggie Valley area. Good restaurants nearby too. I would highly recommend this cabin to friends and family.

The cabin was beautiful, warm and welcoming. The road to the driveway was not one of my favorites...But we got used to it by the second day. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

Awesome house!!

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything we could have wanted and more! It was easily accessible for my handicapped mother and great for 18 month old twins. The downstairs rooms easily accommodated 2 adults and a pack-n-play each. The upstairs was more space than any one could ask for. We were able to have a blow-up mattress for one of our wild sleepers! I cooked every morning and 2 dinners with the amenities available in the kitchen. We look forward to booking again!!

Destination Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Our Mountain Getaway II was the perfect place for our family Destination Christmas. Since my husband and I moved to the NYC area in June 2014 from Georgia, the opportunity to get together with our sons and daughter-in-law doesn't happen as often as we would like. Though the kids love to come see us and take in all that NYC offers, it is always a cramped visit in a 2B/2B apartment. When my oldest son suggested a Destination Christmas in Maggie Valley, we were ecstatic! Finding this cabin, with its 3B/3B, was just right for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. The dogs loved having the run of the porch and it was the perfect place for us to sit during the unseasonably warm days. Each evening, we enjoyed playing games or cards around the bar-height table. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook meals. Of course, the view is breathtaking---I want to come back in the fall! I highly recommend Our Mountain Getaway II for a relaxing, peaceful vacation!!!

Annual Girls Trip!

  • 5 of 5

This October was our 4th consecutive year staying at Our Mountain Getaway II- for our annual girls and dogs trip!

This amazing cabin is fully equipped and has everything!!! We all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The large kitchen and spacious living room allowed everyone their own space. The location is perfect...close to hiking, ziplining, shopping, the Parkway, yet secluded enough to make it feel like a true getaway. The view is breathtaking- the large deck is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and basking in the sun and fresh mountain air. Or relaxing with a good book & a glass of wine, while being lulled by the music from the nearby stream. The deck has a gate, so we could have our dogs out on the deck with us. There is a gorgeous steam located up the road- we walked our dogs up there everyday. The Mittens strive to ensure your stay is perfect and are always available if there is an issue (Tammy patiently talked me thru operating the gas fireplace...we don't have those here in Florida!) The perfect choice for a family vacation or girls getaway..and the dogs will LOVE it!!

Lovely Mountain Escape

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying at this lovely mountain cabin. You fall to sleep to the sound of the mountain stream across the street. It is peaceful and secluded. There is a wrap around porch that runs the length of two sides of the house. It is the perfect mountain getaway!
