About Carmen Munoz
Hello / Buenas Dias, I am Carmen Munoz and I am the lucky owner of Villa Fuente Santa - I was born and still live in Nerja which is a pretty little seaside town on the coast about nine Km south from Villa Fuente Santa. I enjoy being able to share my lovely house with people from all over the world and because I personally manage, clean and maintain the property I feel I can offer a much more personalised service to my guests. My hobbies and interests include - Walking in the local mountains, Taking part in all the traditional local festivals, looking after my gardens in the villa, and sewing and dress making but my real love is restauration of old furniture, and in and around the Villa you will see many items of furniture that I have brought back to life.
Why Carmen Munoz chose Frigiliana
Villa Fuente Santa has a very special place in my heart because I was one half of the team that actually built the Villa. After having dedicated many years to building beautiful High Quality and highly sought after traditional Spanish Homes in the local area, we decided to build one for ourselves with a view to it becoming our retirement home. But as often happens things dont always go to plan and life circumstaces change, which is why I am now proud to be able to share my little piece of paradise.
What makes this Villa unique
The beautiful whitewashed town of Frigiliana is just a Kilometer down the hill from the villa, and it is located at the foot of the spectacular Sierra Alhmijara Mountain Range, The views from our porches are pure magic and at times it is possible to see accross Mediterranean Sea to the Riff Mountains in Morrocco. But dont just take my word for it please have a look at our reviews page to see what my previous guests have thought about Villa Fuente Santa

Great stay at Fuente Santa
Fuente Santa is a charming villa located a couple of km up the hill from Frigiliana. While it’s a small villa - perfect for a couple or family of four - there is no compromise at all in terms of grounds and facilities. Fantastic views out to the sea, beautiful gardens, decent sized pool, large BBQ and terrace. So many different spots to lounge and relax in the sun or shade. Above all this villa has a charm and homeliness that is often missing In holiday homes.
In terms of location, the villa is very quiet and private but Frigiliana is just down the road, with its many bars and restaurants. It is an easy 20 - 30 minute walk into Frigiliana but a steep climb back so a car is definitely recommended.
The location itself is excellent. Frigiliana and Nerja are very close and provide enough to fill a few days. We also had a fun drive to El Acebuchal and on to Cómpeta. However it’s also very well located for trips further afield - Ronda and Granada are doable as day trips. We also went to Seville but that’s a 3 hour drive each way so you will want at least one night there - but worth it!
Finally, we met the lovely owner, Carmen, a couple of times. Carmen is supported by Boz and Polly, who manage the booking and facilitate your stay. Boz and Polly are superbly organised and provided lots of information both before and during our stay.
All in all, a great villa in a lovely place; we reckon we will be back again soon.
Thank you to Carmen, Boz & Polly from Lizzie and Rick.
Fantastic villa with amazing vies in a brilliant location.
Fantastic Villa and brilliant location
The villa was spotless, had everything we needed and exceeded expectations.
Boz was very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We would certainly book again.
Wonderful villa and surrounding.
We, four adults, spent 12 days in this lovely villa. It's not too large, but very convenient and clean. We did a lot of hiking in Sierra Nevada, so nice! We even used the swimming pool, which was still a little too cold, and had dinner down there near the garden kitchen. We love all of it and will come back.
Boz was right on time to meet us and guide us to the house. When we arrived the views were breathtaking and we really appreciated the amount of privacy there is on this property. During our stay, we had a clogged drain which Boz had taken care of very quickly. Prior to our arrival, Boz and Polly were extremely helpful and professional in providing information about restaurants and places to go.
PS: The property had Kumquat trees which my wife fell in love with. We had Kumquat tea everyday:-)
We had a wonder and relaxing time at Casa Fuente. We highly recommend it and will definitely plan to return.

We just fell in love in this property and nature. Only negative: wooden gate ; go out of a car , open the gate, stay the car with hand_brake, Close the gate … and so on. If this villa was our property we should put some Money for an automatically gate
