About Susan

We have lived in the Knoxville area for over 20 years and have enjoyed living close to the mountains. Our favorite things to do include hiking in the fall enjoying the beautiful colors of the mountains and in the summer boating on the areas many lakes and rafting down the Little River in Townsend. We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you.

Allan and Susan

Susan purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Susan chose East

We live an hour a way from the Smoky Mountains and have enjoyed spending many weekends relaxing in the mountains, hiking, biking, and rafting. We have always wanted to own a getwaway in the mountains. We made our dream come true when we purchased our cabin last year. We hope you enjoy it too!

What makes this cabin unique

From our balcony we have watched Eagles soar! We enjoy the fact there are no cabins in view from our balcony. Each season brings a different view from lush green in the summer to the brilliant colors of fall to the snow topped mountains in the distance in winter. We hope your experiences here are as enjoyable and memorable as ours have been.

An amazing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The owners did a great job in describing the property online. The photos were accurate but in no way did justice to just how wonderful the view is. It is a large enough cabin and set up where 2 families could co-exist there with no problems at all. You are far enough to be away from vacation traffic but close enough to civilization to pop in quickly if necessary. The cabin was SUPER clean. There are cabins close by and they were occupied but we were rarely aware there were other people nearby. Our teenage boys enjoyed white water rafting at smokymountainrafting. com and Ian and Charity took the boys out for some fly fishing and they had a blast. Look em up at R&R Fly Fishing on google or facebook. GREAT vacation. GREAT cabin. Five stars without a doubt.

Great weekend place with good mountain view

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was clean and spacious. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Nicely paved road access up the mountain, along with easy parking and unloading. Only small issues were found, including worn out or missing ends on the pool cues and towels had excessive lint on them. Would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent a mid-March spring break here, looking for relaxing time together and Mountain Romance was perfect for us. Quiet, beautiful views, well-appointed for all our needs. Though located with other cabins, the layout makes you feel isolated, while having the amenities of a development. Pigeon Forge is 25 minutes away, close enough that our college-age kids could head into town for fun. Excellent electronic entertainment network. The drive up the mountain is well worth it.
