Carpinteria is one of California’s most beautiful and popular beaches and Los Meganos complex has 12 condos and cottages, right on the sand.

This clean and comfortable 2 bedroom, 1 bath condo is a ground floor unit, just across a small courtyard from the sand, with patio views.

The complete kitchen includes dishwasher, coffeemaker, and microwave. The living room has 2 comfy leather chairs and a sofa, with cable TV, DVD, and WiFi.

The home sleeps six in two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has 2 twin trundle beds. This home is most suitable for a family with up to 4 children, rather than 6 adults.

A vertical-type washer/dryer is provided.

GET A GREAT MONTHLY RATE! This condo is available for longer-term vacation rental reservation, a month or more, October 2017 through February 2018. If you are interested in a "snow bird" winter rental, please contact the manager.

whats not to like !

it was our 2nd year in a row and will be staying again for the month of March next year. a few minor problems, nothing serious. A great location, about fifty feet from beach. quiet, unit is comfortable, association is quiet, off street parking. The beach is awesome and so is Carpenteria.

OK but not in great condition

Carpinteria is a lovely little town and it was a pleasure to return. However, Los Meganos was spacious but dirty and in need of maintenance. There were rusted spoons in the disposal, food residue on many of the plates and utensils, the kitchen was in need of a serious wipe down, and the dryer was clogged, with thick lint pushing out of its holes. In addition, one smoke alarm had been removed and another had no batteries. The out of date heater turned on with an alarmingly loud bang each time. However, the living room furniture was comfortable and there was plenty of cooking equipment. For a group of six young people who just want a place to stay near the beach, this may be adequate, and the price would be reasonable.

Owner's Response: Our guests arrived following a severe winter storm. All properties on the beach sustained exterior cosmetic effects of heavy rain and blowing sands. When guests called my cell phone on arrival and mentioned finding 2 spoons (stainless steel) overlooked inside the drain, I offered to send housekeepers back to the unit, at the guest's convenience, to provide any services they wanted. The offer was declined. If the guest had mentioned the smoke alarm or furnace, I would have explained the smoke alarm isn't missing. It was replaced by a new one before their arrival. The old mounting bracket will be removed, and the area painted, when a vacancy permits. And the heater is professionally serviced annually. It makes a noise but works well. Our guests can contact me any time for anything they might need or want. This is a small town; housekeepers and repair people and I are just minutes away. We work hard to make every visitor to Carpinteria Beach as happy as possible.
