The building exterior had a facelift in 2014. This is a one bedroom condo on the 8th floor with 9 ft ceilings, built around 2005. Has outstanding views from the spacious balcony and from inside the condo. Has one half bath that connects into a full bath. 2 bunk beds in the hallway with lighting across the hall way wall. Queen sofa sleeper. 3 high speed elevators. One reserved covered parking place and additional out door parking. Renowned Lillian's Pizza across the street. A short distance to a Winn Dixie and a new Publix 5 Min away. Walmart about 15 min away. Plenty of fresh Sea food restaurants. Not far from a Light House, Fort and Naval Air Museum. Also a short distance to the Wharf and Outlet Mall in Al. 300 ft of soft sugar white sand. Never is crowded on the beach.

Heated Pool. Pool deck has lounges for Windemere guests. Unbelievable view from the pool deck. Pool and deck on 3rd floor unobstructed view of the water. Ground floor grills, picnic tables and an air pump for floats or tires. Wi Fi at the pool and in the unit.

I retired in 2012, from teaching Jr High school Math , full time and junior college math part time. I had another condo on Perdido Key for 12 years that I still rent. I take pride in my properties and try to keep them maintained. I visit and deep clean them often. Always try to keep my property in great shape. Why Holly chose Florida Main North West

I have owned property on Perdido Key for a number of years and could think of nowhere else I wanted to have a second home. It is one of the more quiet beach front areas I have been to. 63% of Perdido Key is protected . It is unlike most beach front communities.I have always felt very save with my family here. If we are looking for more activity it is just a short ride in the car. Whether I head into Pensacola or west to Al, there is plenty of activities available and then I come back to my quiet oasis.

Nice clean condo with a beautiful view

We had a great time on vacation in Perdido Key. The beach is awesome, wasn't too crowded. The condo was nice and clean and everything worked as expected. Also lots of great restaurants in the area...

Quaint and quiet!

Another reviewer had said the furniture was dated. While that may be the case, I didn't drive 12 hours to admire the furniture (and it was still comfy!) We loved the convenience of being able to just walk down to the beach and the location is perfect as it's only a few minutes to Pensacola or Orange Beach. We were a little worried about noise with it being so close to the elevator, but there werent any issues and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Would come back!

Place was great for what we were looking for. We normally go into Pensacola and have never been to this area. Stay was very quiet and clean! Grounds kept very nicely. Holly was super responsive to all our questions...great to work with! The parking lot is a little difficult and you will have to do some driving for restaurants and hot spots, but not a deal breaker.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It would be nice if there were some more restaurants, but the trade of is a very quiet and relaxing beach community. But fortunately we have some very good restaurants like Fisherman's Corner, Hub Stacys, on the Inner coastal, and Lost Key, that overlooks the 18th hole. My reserved covered parking space, is a little tight , especially for large trucks, but there is some additional, larger parking spaces on the upper level and in the lot right across the street. I hope this will make it easier for you, if you ever return, as I hope you do. Thank you, Holly

Nice but over priced

The condo is small and compact. The unit was clean and tastefully furnished with the exception of the couch. It was not comfortable and looked worn. View was great but you have to drive to everything as nothing is close by. Do not use the dryer if you are planning to hang out in the condo as it makes a horrendously loud noise and it lasts for more than an hour after it finishes the cycle. For me the quality is in the fine details and those were lacking for the price we were charged. If compared with other places we have vacationed I would say this property would be more accurately priced in season at $800 and off season $600.

Owner's Response: I am truly sorry you were not happy with the condo and felt that while it was nicely decorated , it was only worth two stars. I appoligise about the dryer, but I do wish you had let me know what it had started to do, so I could have gotten a repairman right in to fix it. I assure you this is not normal in any way for a dryer, and hate that it was causing you discomfort. Sorry it was more than you felt you should have paid. I check the rates often of the other 13 one bedrooms in Windemere, and mine is usually one of the 3 lowest rates. At $150 a night right now, there are only 2 that are about $15 lower, most are quite a bit more, $188-$240 a nt. Direct Gulf Front condos are typically more a night, than off the beach rentals, because of the constant maintenance and cost of upkeep when located directly on the water. You are right that there is not as much activity on Perdido Key with 63% of it protected. But that is the charm of the place and what most guests keep coming here want. It is a gem. So few beach front communities are this laid back and quiet. If you drove out of Perdido Key in either direction there is plenty to do in Gulf Shores or in down town Pensacola. The couch is not that old, but with the changes in decor that I have been making, I am planning to replace it this Fall, after the busy season. As soon as I walked into my condo, I could tell you were not happy, by the lack of care you displayed. It was obvious in the way you treated it. I do work hard to keep my condo in clean and good shape, and was disappointed to see this type of behavior. I hope next time to find what you are looking for. Thank you, Holly
