I live in Arizona now but enjoyed the Berkshires for many years.
Brooks Singer purchased this house in 1990
We lived in the Berkshires for years but moved to Phoenix and only visit occasionally. The house is very well kept and is meant as a place to relax, have fun and build memories.
The house is in a great location. Very quiet. It's also near everything great in the Berkshires. It's the best rental value of any home I have seen by far!!! Who else has a jetted tub and steam shower at these prices!?
We recently spent a long weekend at this wonderful property. This was our second time renting this house. Brooks is super responsive and we have the found the house to be warm, inviting, and spacious. Great for families. This will not be our last stay.
Our multi-generational group of 8 staying for a weekend had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The kids enjoyed exploring the property and swinging on the tree swing, the grandparents found the couches and master bath very comfortable, and the rest of us loved cooking and hanging out in the convenient kitchen. Proximity to all the fun towns is a real plus. And we appreciated all the wonderful details: having the beds all made up for us, soap in the bathroom, and plenty of extra pillows and blankets in the closets.
I just spent the weekend with my girl friend and 3 other friends. It was a great house for us, close to GB and hiking. You feel very secluded in the woods which makes for a very relaxing and quiet environment. We ate breakfast in the sunny breakfast nook and then headed out to hike Monument Mountain and spend the day in GB. We attempted the 1500 piece puzzle, but alas could not finish in time. A good reason to go back! So much space, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of bathrooms. Only suggestion would be to stock some more games. Highly recommend this home!
We spent a wonderful Columbus Day weekend in this incredibly spacious, bright, and exceptionally clean home. Besides being fully equipped
with everything we needed to prepare meals easily and efficiently, the most appealing features about this house was the screened in porch,
the wrap-around floor to ceiling windows in the living room area that gave you the feeling of being in a tree house so that one could enjoy the
lovely fall foliage and the beautifully windowed seating area in the kitchen. One would enjoy dining in at least three different areas in the
house. The linens were high quality and the beds extremely comfortable. We usually bring many items up with us for preparing meals because
inevitably we need something that a property doesn't have but in this case we had everything we needed and more. We are already planning when we can return to this lovely property.
The house was a pleasure to stay in. The house is well cared for and well appointed. There is everything you need for your stay. The location, the house and the warm cozy feeling made for a great 'BIG CHILL ' weekend. Brook was very responsive and made the process from start to finish a pleasure. Great directions to house. Thanks !
We rented this property as our base for a wedding in nearby NY. The house is lovely and has even more amenities than I had remembered from the posting. The owner gave excellent directions to the property -- something that was invaluable. There were only three of us, but the house can easily fit a larger group. The pizza recommendation was also a hit. I think the most telling recommendation is that my homebody husband wanted to stay longer than the two day rental. We will definitely consider this location for future visits to the area.
Egremont country club offers a nice course that is open to the public and within a few minutes drive. Catamount and Butternut ski areas are close by.
