Just wanted to let you know what a beautiful vacation home you have. We had a great time. You have everything there that anyone could want. Debbie was great. We couldn't get the TV to work and she was right there to help us. Beautiful country. Thank you very much. Janet and Rich. And Daisy too!

Great place to get away for the weekend!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great family getaway with 4 adults and 2 children and our 2 dogs! We enjoyed the screened in porch and fire pit each day and the weather was too warm to bother with the hot tub but that is a nice bonus! Owners provided so many nice amenities, including a bottle of West Virginia wine upon our arrival! Make sure to take a drive to Lost River State Park, about 50 minutes away for some great hiking. Our favorite hike was about a 30 minute drive to the Big Schloss trail... one of my favorite hikes of all time! The town of Wardensville is so cute, with places to eat, like the Lost River Brewery, and a small grocery store. Would not hesitate to rent this property again!

We enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very well equipped, didn't need to bring all I brought. Wish we would've see some wildlife around there, did see 4 deer by lake. Would have loved to get in the hot tub, but couldn't get the temperature up. Thanks again for the wine, very good. Enjoyed sitting in the evening by the fire in the fire pit!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful chalet. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The host left us a bottle of West Virginia wine, which was a wonderful surprise. The chalet is located in a private, beautiful setting.

We took a ride on the Potomac Eagle scenic railroad. We saw eagles and their nests. It was a great trip.

We would love to stay here again.

Perfect quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely fantastic. They have everything you could possible want or need for a relaxing visit. The cabin is on a quiet road in the woods, there is heat and AC, a screened in porch, comfortable rooms, puzzles, a grill, firepit and the kitchen is better stocked with gadgets than my own. We will definitely come again. One hint, if you plan on fishing, bring a canoe or small boat so you can catch the big ones in the middle of the lake!

Perfect secluded getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a wonderful week of relaxation and fun for a much needed family vacation. Right from the start we knew we were at the perfect place; local bottle of wine to great you along with a very clean cabin: all kitchen needs ( owner thought of EVERYTHING), soft towels and linens ( pet peeve of mine-this place passed 100%) and a washer and dryer which is a godsend! Set back from the road which gave us the seclusion we wanted and space for our dogs to run in the woods to their hearts desire. Close enough to town if we needed anything is a plus! (Kerr's grocery has about anything you need and if they don't Dollar General does). We ate at several places in town and ate dipped ice cream almost daily (embarrassed to admit , lol!). Our fav was the Bison meatloaf at the Lost River Brewery also in town..minutes away! The hot tub was a hit as was the fire pit which was perfect for our s'mores . Owner was quick to respond to all emails in setting up rental and thankfully we never had any issues during our stay so have not had to ask for any help. Love this wonderful cabin in the woods!!
