Wonderful Stay in Pine Mountain
We had a wonderful time in Pine Mountain. The duplex suited our needs perfectly. The Smiths take hosting to the next level. The refrigerator was well-stocked as was the rest of the unit. The weather was not so hot and I just wanted to stay in and eat banana bread. My wife would have none of that and we took a short drive to FDR's Little White House. We spent the rest of the afternoon in Warm Springs doing some Christmas shopping and lunched at the Bulloch House Restaurant. We capped the evening off with Callaway's Fantasy in Lights. Absolutely recommend this unit to anyone needing a place to stay in Pine Mountain!
Perfect Location...homey feel
My family of 6 fit perfectly into this home. We arrived and were greeted by Ms. Dale who took me on a tour of the home which included a decorated Christmas tree! She had snacks and breakfast foods along with juices and homemade banana bread and plum muffins. The location was just one block away from shops and restaurants in Pine Mountain. To say it was perfect is an understatement. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone!! Thank you, Ms. Smith, for your wonderful hospitality!
What a well-appointed townhome and in a perfect location for exploring the area! Dale is a delight to work with, and thenhomemade plum muffins were the icing on the cake. The master has a half bath and a full bath in the hallway with plenty of towels available. Each bedroom has a flashlight and little touches every where were perfect. We felt like we were at home. Plenty of safe, available parking. Walk everyone in Pine Mountain (highly recommend Eatz)!
Julie and Paul and Family were a delight to have. They were considerate and neat. We seem to get only the nicest people. They're welcome back anytime.
Ken and Dale Smith
Mrs. Dale was amazing! She was super sweet and welcoming. She greeted us and gave us a tour of the place. Her hospitality was above and beyond. She even made some homemade muffins and banana bread. She also had everything you needed for breakfast. It was great to be able to not have to worry about breakfast. The duplex was very clean and came stocked with everything you would need. The beds were comfortable as well. The location was great as well. It’s just a few minutes from Callaway Gardens and the wild safari. It was really a perfect location. The grocery store was just across the street as well as many small businesses. We would for sure stay again! Thanks for making our trip wonderful!
The cottage was neat, conveniently located between Callaway and the Animal Farm. Dale had the kitchen stocked with baked good and fresh fruits. It was a beautiful experience
Their visit was very enjoyable, well behaved children, quiet, mannerly, and they left the duplex neat and very clean. Couldn't have asked for more. Hope they come again.
Great location with amazing hosts!
My partner and I brought our 4 children to Pine Mountain for a three night vacation before the Fourth of July holiday and stayed at Dale and Ken's lovely duplex. We spent our first day at the Wildlife Animal Safari, a very short drive from the duplex, followed by an amazing lunch at Eatz on the Corner, which is literally around the corner from the duplex. We spent the next morning and afternoon at Callaway Garden, which was a very short 5-minute drive from the duplex down the main road. The duplex is extremely clean and spacious. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of towels. What made the duplex so special was the love and attention Dale and Ken put into making it comfortable. There were plenty of games and books for the kids to rummage through, not to mention a pantry filled with different types of cereal, a fridge stocked with eggs, bacon, orange juice, milk, and half and half - and my favorite part - homemade plum muffins and banana bread. The location is fantastic; within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops. One thing to note is many of the establishments are closed on Sunday's and Monday's so we didn't get to explore too many of the shops around, but that's okay - we were plenty busy. We will definitely be back!
One mile from beautiful Callaway Gardens. Bike trails, golfing, kids activities, Florida State high flying circus, Pine Mountain Wild Animal Park, mountain hiking, fishing. West Point Lake is 20 miles away. Antiquing in Pine Mountain is walking distance. Choice of restaurants.
Children's Dinosaur Ride is days from opening.
