Cozy 2 Bedroom In The Heart Of Downtown Mt. Shasta

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,500 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 4 nights

About the property

The Perfect Cozy, Clean, Budget Space For A Fabulous Mountain Getaway.

This cozy downtown space is a perfect budget option for your travels to Mt. Shasta. Featuring 2 bedrooms with 100% cotton sheets and one bathroom with a new shower that was just installed this October (2015), you will feel totally comfortable and at home here. It is one of those places that just feels good.

The unit is the downstairs half of a 2 story Bungalow. We also offer the top floor as a separate unit or both floors as the whole house. You will share BBQ, yard, and parking access with the guests of the top floor, if there are any.

Please be aware that you will be able to hear noise from above if there are guests up there.

When you first enter the space, you will find a cozy, inviting living room complete with a comfortable seating area and small dining table. The flat screen TV features Direct TV, but is not a Smart TV.

Feeling hungry? You can walk to multiple restaurants within 5 minutes or you can stay in and use the kitchenette to prepare a meal. We have a fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster oven, and hot water kettle with Starbucks Via coffee for your enjoyment. Please note there is no stove. There is, however, a gas BBQ outside.

As I mentioned earlier, the newly remodeled bathroom has a beautiful brand new tile shower. A wall-mounted pump provides sulfate-free shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel.

If you are traveling with kids, they will love the play room that is outfitted with games, puzzles, pillows and funky zebra-print bean bags.

Take a 3 minute walk to the most happening coffee shop in town, Seven Suns, or walk 5 minutes the other way to your morning yoga class. Just across the street is the Mount Shasta Pastry shop and a few doors down is the bustling health food store, Berryvale. At the Alpenglow Bungalow, you are in the center of it all.

After you finish exploring the town on foot, you can continue the adventure by bike or car. Lake Siskiyou, Castle Lake, The Old Ski Bowl (7800'), and plenty of hiking, biking, paddling, golfing, swimming, climbing, fishing, and skiing options are all minutes away.

There is something here for everyone, whether it's a multi-day mountaineering expedition to the summit of 14,179' Mt. Shasta or a leisurely stroll to feed the rainbow trout in the Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery or something in between! Let me know what you want to do and I'll point you in the right direction, and maybe even let you in on some local secret spots. ;)

Cozy indeed

We had a great time at Cozy Digs. Its exactly like what you see in the photos - well maintained and very conveniently located in the heart of Mt Shasta downtown. Overall we had a great time and cozy digs certainly made our 2017 holiday's memorable at Mount Shasta.

Great home in close to restaurants.

  • 4 of 5

This downstairs cottage is very comfortable, spacious and very close to our two favorite Mt Shasta restaurants, Mike and Tony’s and Lily’s. It’s a little unusual as it doesn’t have a full kitchen, but plates, glasses and small refrigerator are ample if you plan on bringing meals in or eating out. We come to Mt Shasta frequently and will probably stay here again.

Adaquate, clean

  • 3 of 5

Cute place , a little noisy when staying downstairs, can hear everything upstairs. The heat was controlled by the upstairs , so it was cold, guess it would be great in the summer months. Lots of rooms , would be great for families. Comfortable, without the frills...

Owner's Response: This guest asked me where the thermostat was located and never informed me they were cold. There is a space heater in the unit and I would have informed her of its location. We heat the house to 70 in the winter. Yes, you can hear noise from the upstairs, and I include that in the description. I leave ear plugs (the best ones on the market, at that) so guests can sleep soundly and comfortably. For a 2 bedroom (plus additional room), immaculate, nicely appointed apartment in a great location, you simply cannot get a better deal in Mt. Shasta.

Cozy, clean with great location

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy home, It was equipped with almost everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The location of this cozy home was close to downtown Shasta and walking distance to Many store and restaurants. If the full kitchen can be added will be perfect. Will definitely come back to stay again!

Owner's Response: As described in the listing, there is only a kitchenette with no range. In response to the heat, we keep the house at 70 in the winter. The guest informed me he was too cold and I brought 2 portable heaters over. It was 20 degrees outside and the guests were wearing shorts and t shirts! Too cozy? Yes, it is cozy...hence the name "Cozy Downtown Digs".
