From the moment we walked in... We truly felt relaxed and the beach (point) we was a delight... we hope to stay again.
We had grand plans of using this as a base from which to also enjoy days out at Arcadia and the White a Mountains. We got as far as Portland but were very happy to return from the urban to Harpswell and this idyllic spot. One day the mist came rolling in so we put on rain coats instead of swimming costumes and beach combed for sea glass and shells. Other days we were in the sea and had to share the beach with three other families - it's a hidden gem. Amazing cafe nearby at the Old School House and opposite at the Fruit Corner they are making all sorts of treats. We have two small children and this place could not have housed us any better. Thanks. If we were not in the U.S. for only two years then we'd be heading straight back but we feel the need to see further afield. Hope we don't wish we'd stayed closer to home.
Our little family loved our stay in Harpswell! The cottage is cute, clean, and well-appointed...and its owners left plenty of helpful information about the area, including a recommendation for Erica's Seafood...which we loved so much, we visited twice! The cottage location is excellent, just steps from a sweet little beach where our daughters had fun searching for crabs and picking up seashells. We also loved the nearby school's excellent playground, where they spent several hours playing with new friends. It was a super place to visit, and a super place to stay. The owner, Lisa, couldn't have been more open or helpful. Thank you so much!!! We hope to visit again soon.
We were very impressed with the accuracy of the description of this cottage including photos. When we arrived, the property and cottage itself was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and pleasant with information both through emails and phone calls. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property rental. We enjoyed walking to Stover's Cove Preservation Beach every day and viewing the beautiful surroundings. Because of the nice location of this cottage, there were many points of interests that were very easy to access by car. Wonderful stay and vacation in Maine!!
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for two weeks. The cottage was very clean and cozy, all the amenities, big deck overlooking water, walking distance to the Stover's Cove Bay, very peaceful and a short driving distance to Andrea's Lobster Shack and the Dolphin Marina. I left it as clean as I found it and it was a pleasure to do so as the landlords made every effort to make it like home. We look forward to going back again.
