Property just as described. Awesome living room area and fireplace. Big deck that gets a lot of sun. Easy walk to everything (town and beach). Management team is very responsive. I definitely recommend!
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at "The Beagle". Beds are comfortable and linens are nice. Great to have the powder room upstairs. Great deck, too! This house is just a couple of blocks from the grocery and the beach and all the happenings in Manzanita. Can't beat it for not getting in the car although we did go to Astoria and explored Oswald West State Park. We had five adults and a dog....good time. Washing linens before leaving was not a problem. We had a small issue with the BBQ. Ashes had not been cleaned for awhile so our first cookout took some time, but we cleaned it out and had no other issues. It's a nice find. Thanks!
Booked the Beagle for a NYE getaway with our dog and another couple. Our mini doxie was able to handle the stairs which was great and we easily unpacked and found all of the essentials. The beds were extremely comfortable and the blinds really did their job keeping it dark for the New Years morning when we didn't want to get up early. The TV worked great, lights made the house super cosy and our dog loved scampering around on the carpet upstairs. Appreciated the sheet for the couch and towels just in case and it was a snap to clean up! We would definitely stay again!
We very much enjoyed Manzanita and this house has a great location close to the beach and just a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. The house is cute, and Tracey is wonderful - readily accessible and easy to work with. The listing is accurate, but missing a few essentials (a whisk, lights burnt out, etc.).
The house was acceptable, but very dated. The big problem is the poorly planned out requirements for the checkout day. You have to leave the house by 11 and have to clean and dry 3 to 4 loads of laundry out of a small washer or they will charge you extra on the already generous cleaning fees. This ended up being very stressful and required everyone be up and showered very early in the morning, not relaxing as you might want on a beach trip. Would not stay here again I'm sorry to say. You pay to stay at the beach so you aren't doing grueling housework. Throwing in a load of towels before you leave is different than cleaning four beds worth of bedding and towels for 6 people.
We echo the sentiments of the other 4 and 5 star reviews. This was a wonderful house close to the beach in a fantastic little town. I highly recommend staying here. The clean up was not onerous for a multi-night stay (we were there for 3 days). We would definitely stay here again.
