The Red Coat is a beautifully restored century home, circa 1901, nestled among the hills of the Niagara Escarpment, just a short drive down the beautiful Niagara River Parkway in charming historic Queenston. Featuring three luxuriously appointed rooms with ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, and high speed wireless internet. A guest lounge is available on the main floor and gourmet breakfasts are served in our lovely Dining room including Niagara's best seasonal fruits and fresh baked goods. Choose to relax, dine or meet guests on one of the porches overlooking the breathtaking Niagara River.
Bed Size And Features
The Sheaffe's loft is our largest room on the property. It is located on the third floor of the house. It has one queen size bed with side dressers and lamps, flat screen television with a DVD player available to hook up, mini fridge, kettle, as well as an ironing board and iron for you to use. This room features a two person Jacuzzi tub exposed to the bedroom area with a shower wand. There is a divider for privacy if needed. There is no stand up shower. A small private two piece washroom is located in this room. There is a balcony off the sitting room area to enjoy the warm sunshine and view of the Niagara River. This room can accommodate a third person with the use of a cot in the room.
There is an additional $40 charge for the third person in the room.
There is a minimum of two nights stay: Friday and Saturday from June 15th - October 23.

The Red Coat, located within the township of Niagara on the Lake, is centrally located between Shaw Theatres, shops, golf courses, Casino Niagara and Niagara Falls. Follow the Niagara Wine Trail to over thirty estate wineries offering tours and wine tasting. If you enjoy the outdoors, hike, jog or bike along one of the many trails including the Bruce trail which begins at the base of our driveway! A free boat launch is also just a block away from our home.
Our property, like Niagara on the Lake, is rich in history and situated on the grounds of one of the important battles in Canadian history, the War of 1812. The Red Coat is a historical term used to refer to soldiers of the British Army because of the red uniforms formerly worn by the majority of regiments. Our home is within walking distance to many National "Historic sites including: Laura Secordâ??s homestead, The Mackenzie Printery and The Brock Monument situated in the beautiful Queenston Heights Park.
