My family love to enjoy the white sands and clear, safe waters of our local beaches. We also love the local cafes and bars serving fresh Sydney produce, and the lovely clifftop walks which take you up to famous Bondi Beach in the north (45 minutes walking) and Maroubra beach in the south (70 minutes walking).
Short walk to the beach, local cafes and the famous coastal walk giving access to all of Sydney's famous beaches including Bondi, Coogee, Bronte and Gordons Bay. Easy public transport to the City (20 minutes) and local large shopping malls. No need for a car, the bus and train system is easy and efficient! Local restaurants are top class, with beachfront casual dining or upmarket a la carte if you choose.
We did an exhaustive amount of research on rentals in Sydney and hit the jackpot with this Clovelly beach rental. I do a lot of business travel so have high expectations for vacation rentals. First off, it must be said that the host Andrea is a gem! She made us feel at home & like extended family the second we met her at the airport. This was my 2nd trip to Sydney from the US, my joined me this time, and this property exceeded our expectations. The outdoor living space was perfect for our 4 year old to kick a ball and run in the sprinklers during the day, while we adults enjoyed the evenings sipping on wine and grilling. The location was steps to the coastal walk to Coogee, great restaurants at & near Clovelly Hotel and easy to grab transit into the city. The apartment was wonderfully accommodated with 3 bedrooms and an office space which worked out perfectly for our weekly stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances are top notch. Lets not forget the coffee maker -- we still talk about it!! The one thing I would note is that the hill up to the property is a fair incline so be prepared. I highly recommend this property without a moments hesitation!
A more perfect location for a relaxing stay in Sydney would be hard to beat. Close to the beach and yet only twenty minutes to the heart of the city by public transport, this apartment is ideal. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance and for those who like to exercise, there are some wonderful walks along cliff paths, through natural wetlands and along little coves.
The apartment is extremely comfortable and the owners have thought of everything to make a stay memorable - even the pantry is well stocked and the kitchen has all modern appliances. There is a beautiful garden and terrace where meals can be taken al fresco. The property is very secure and there is car parking for those who need it - a premium in an area such as this.
The owners are very hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Every request is considered and where possible met. Andrea personally meets her guests and is a friendly hostess with a sense of humour. We would not hesitate to stay here again and happily recommend it to anyone wanting to stay close to the city yet near the beach.
Clovelly Beach, (200 metres away) was rated Sydney's cleanest and safest beach in 2015. Coogee Beach, (1 km.) with its renowned surf, was also one of Sydney's cleanest beaches.
