Beautiful and private 2br home located directly on spring fed pilgrim lake. Walk off your back deck after a morning coffee and for a swim in the lake, or kayak fishing for some fresh water bass. The house is located 3 miles from Nauset Beach (national seashore), and 3 miles from Skaket beach (The Bay side of Cape Cod) - offering the best of both world's.
The Master bedroom has a queen size bed and overlooks the lake, with large sliding doors that walk out to the back deck (equipped with an outdoor table for dining and another for seating). Also a private, full size BR inside the master BR.
The second bedroom has full over full bunk beds, and easy access to the second bathroom which is also equipped with a shower. If you're feeling brave, we've also added a cedar outdoor shower which is easy accessible from either bedroom.
The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of space to cook for a full family. The dining room can seat 6, and overlooks the lake with it's large bay window. Living room is great for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a movie/game on the flat screen TV (house is equipped with Comcast Cable & WiFi).
Guests are welcome to use our 2 kayaks, row boat, outdoor fire pit, hammock and gas grill. Just please respect our neighbors, and things.
Linens (sheets & towels) are provided, but we do have a full washer & dryer if you choose to bring your own, or need to do laundry throughout the week.
Lastly, pilgrim lake is known for amazing bird watching - an ornithologist's dream!

Our family purchased this home because we love all that Cape Cod has to offer - when we're not enjoying it, we're hoping that someone else can.
The Owner purchased this house in 2010
We spend our time fishing, kayaking, grilling, and enjoying the water and outdoors - all in our backyard!
We had the opportunity to enjoy living at this outstanding Cape home for a month, and the memories will last a lifetime. Close to it all, yet tucked away on Pilgrim Lake, outdoor activities were plentiful. The best part is that the dogs also had a great time with us. If you want to truly experience life on the Cape, it doesn't get better than this. We would definitely stay again, and wish we were still there.
My wife and I rented this amazingly peaceful and comfortable cottage for a quiet Thanksgiving and it was PERFECT. The weather was favorable enough for us to blaze some morning fires in the outdoor fire pit, which was an incredible way to start the day while we sipped our coffee. The kitchen was roomy and well-equipped for cooking our holiday meal, and the little dining table by the bay window overlooking the lake was a super-romantic spot to enjoy our meal. (The full moon that night, reflected on the surface of the lake, didn't hurt.) The patio off the master bedroom is another zen spot for morning yoga or just sitting and watching the swans float by. Speaking of the master bedroom, it's spacious, the bed is big and comfy, and you wake up to gorgeous panoramic views of the water. We didn't use the second bedroom but plan to when we return with our four kids, who will fit perfectly in the double bunkbeds. The whole house has a cozy, woodsy feel that's perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a family adventure. Collin, the owner, was super-responsive to our questions while booking and during our stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to return!
We spent the second week of August at the lake house on Pilgrim Lake in Orleans.
The house and its surroundings were so lovely, we always felt like we were on vacation
just sitting on the deck that overlooks the lake. If it got warm, we jumped into the lake.
If we wanted to be alone and read, we lay in the comfy hammock. Ready for an adventure?
Go out in one of the kayaks or the rowboat to explore Pilgrim lake.
The house had just about everything one could want in a summer rental!!!!
The house is nice and well laid-out with the back bedroom and deck overlooking the water and it had everything needed for a great, pre-season get-a-way. The house is set back off the road and is situated so you have a feeling of privacy and it is very convenient to town and the national seashore. Pilgrim Pond is a beautiful, quiet pond with a resident swan and nesting ospreys; we counted at least 18 different species of birds right from the back deck! The water was clear and the swimming was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here (as did our two dogs), and Collin was responsive and answered all our questions quickly and accurately. I'd love to return someday.
This house was perfect for a summer Cape Cod vacation! It was secluded so it provided such a quiet, tranquil environment, right on the lake! The available kayaks were such a wonderful addition! We made good use of the fire pit and the grill, and the outside deck was used for every meal! It was just a beautiful setting!
One of the best added features was the outdoor shower! The weather really cooperated, so the outdoor shower was a treat you just don't get at home!
The location was perfect, close to great restaurants, the national seashore and the rail trail. We couldn't have asked for a nicer vacation! A quiet location, yet close to all the activities you'd need. It was a perfect mix.
What a beautiful spot! Our family of four (two adults, two kids, and a german shephard) LOVED our week on the Cape this summer. The house was perfect for us, convenient location but secluded enough to offer privacy. The kids took the kayaks out every morning and paddled across the lake to the public swimming area. The grill and firepit were put to good use as well. There are so many things to do locally and Colin was wonderful by offering suggestions and helpful hints. We used the bike trail in Orleans and watched the sunset at Rock Harbor beach (a 10 min drive) several times. The house had everything you'd need for a great vacation! We hope to return to the house again next year!
