What makes this house unique

This home has an amazing view of the water from the house and there is always a cool breeze. We have just added a 2011 23 foot pontoon boat. The boat is docked on property, holds 9-11 people and is available for rental during your stay at an additional fee.

Cozy, clean home on a canal with access to Gulf of Mexico.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Peaceful Palms. It had been 3 years since our first visit and the home is just as clean and cozy as the first time. We used the pontoon during our stay and had a wonderful time cruising down the river through Tarpon Springs and then out into the Gulf.

There were 6 of us and plenty of hot water when we returned for each to get a great shower.

Peaceful Palms is the perfect name for the place. It's quiet and so easy to relax there. There's a dock on the canal and the back yard is a great spot to sit by the fire pit with some drinks and reminisce. We hope to back again soon!

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

Spent a relaxing week in Janurary enjoying the area and the birds, wildlife, and sunrises at this peaceful house. Easy access to all the places we wanted to visit, and quiet neighborhood with friendly, (but not nosy) neighbors. We appreciated the welcome basket and wine, and enjoyed making some of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. No problems with Wi-fi or TV. Great space for a relaxing girlfriend getaway, small family, or couples vacationing together. The two bedrooms and two baths allow for privacy for everyone. It isn't particularly convenient to big tourist attractions, but if you prefer exploring nature and enjoying quiet, it would be a good fit. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area!

The Perfect Homebase Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at "Peaceful Palms" was exactly that; peaceful. The process of checking in to the property could not have been easier. Enter the code provided by the owners into the front door lock, and you're in. This was really important for us since we arrived at about 4:00 for a wedding that began at 5:00 in Palm Harbor. We were able to get in, get changed, and make it to the wedding with time to spare. This may not seem like a big deal, but it makes it super convenient when you arrive.

The home is in tip-top shape. It is clean and very nicely appointed. Pretty much everything you need for a relaxing stay is at your fingertips. If you like to fish, the canal out back is teeming with mullet, and there are several nice fishing poles in the garage for you to use. There is also a washer and dryer in the garage, which allows you to pack much lighter for an extended stay. We opted not to rent the pontoon boat since we were pressed for time, but we plan on exercising that option during future stays.

As a family with four children under the age of six, we generally find travel to be a challenge. It's not always easy to find affordable options that can accommodate all of us. Even though Peaceful Palms only has two bedrooms, the layout is very spacious, and we did not feel like we were tripping over each other. The sleeper sofa in the living room could remain as a bed, and we still had plenty of living space in the living-dining room combination.

The owners of Peaceful Palms are very accommodating, and they are eager to make sure that every aspect of your stay is pleasant. Also, the goodie basket on arrival was a very nice touch.

Peace and Tranquility at Peaceful Palms

  • 5 of 5

First of all...the owners of this spectacular home go above and beyond to make your stay very pleasurable and memorable. They are such a pleasure to work with in all transactions regarding your stay, from the very first inquiry, to the end of your stay. This home on the Anclote River is perfectly decorated, super clean, and leaves nothing to desire as the owners have thought of everything one might need while on vacation. Games, DVDs, all the essentials, including coffee, tea, sugar, spices, pots and pans, matching dinner ware, utensils, you name it, they have thought of everything to make your stay perfect! They even provide a canoe and life vests, fishing poles, and even beach towels. For a minimal fee you can even use their pontoon boat. Thanks to Ann Marie and Darrell for a truly perfect and memorable weekend!

Loved this location, decorations, and personal touches!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for opening your home. From the moment we entered, we felt welcomed. From a personal note and welcome basket to the lovely decorations. It was fantastic.

Weather was spectacular and the wildlife was awesome. Manatee just off the dock most of the week and dolphins, bald eagles, and rays were seen as we explored on the boat.

My nephew is trying to decide how we can get our whole family back!!

We also enjoyed chats with the neighbors (and their dogs). Made my nephew feel at home with animals so close!

Thank you for a lovely, memorable week!!

Really nice property and owners

  • 5 of 5

This house is a very well furnished and decorated, comfortable retreat. It is located on a canal that, eventually, leads into the gulf. It's fronted by a quiet street with nice neighbors.

The owners are very accommodating and friendly. We met Darrel, who walked us through the house and gave very detailed instructions on the use of his pontoon boat. (extra charge)

There is a screen porch and patio that both look out onto the canal.

During our stay we saw manatees playing not 20 feet from the house dock in the evening.

The Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs, 15 minutes away, is a nice side trip with cool Greek restaurants and touristy shops, as well as boat tours and outdoor music.

Definitely worth considering if you are looking for a quiet place to hang out and stage your driving or boating adventures from.
