Good views, tranquil, private. The stars seem much closer. Relax indoors by the 2 story fireplace or outside overlooking the valley leading to Cherokee from the hot tub. Wide selection of movies on DVD & VHS. Selection of books and magazines. Enjoy roasting marshmallows or making s'mores at the outdoor firepit. Wood is included in fee ( only during the winter months). Should you want a fire during the warmer months there are a number of stores that sell bundles of wood. Walking trails, nearby brook and stream. 2-story house. Pets are allowed per an additional fee. A fenced in area is provided for dogs. We are on the same mountain as Ghost Town in the Sky.

Enjoy the views from inside ( many windows) and from outside, the quiet and the charm. House is at 4400' elevation and is fully furnished and equipped.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Trish,

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your cabin. It was the best stocked ( as far as cook wear, dishes, etc ) cabin we’ve ever stayed in.

Thank you for being so considerate. The location is absolutely stunning. It was so nice to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful view. The inside of the cabin was very comfortable. Felt like home!

Thanks

A little piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Trish's Place is just wonderful! My husband & I were looking for a place to get away from it all and Trish's cabin was everything we were looking for. The cabin was cozy and filled with everything we could ever need. We spent many a morning sipping our coffee on the porch while looking out at the mountains. Sometimes it was hard to break away from the peace and beautiful scenery to take in the sights of Maggie Valley and the surrounding areas. Thank you Trish, for sharing your lovely cabin with us. We hope to return again in the future.

Outdated but nice

  • 3 of 5

The home is outdated but satisfied our needs for the weekend. The gravel road up to the house was pretty rough but it's a nice location.

Rustic cabin, beautiful view, high on the side of the mountain.

  • 4 of 5

Had a wonderful time with my family Thanksgiving weekend. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and warm! We had fun hiking, snowboarding at Cataloochee, shopping in the beautiful town of Waynesville, visiting Grove Park Inn in Asheville, even a short trip to Harrahs, and lots of good restaurants!! When we weren't out and about my family loved the hot tub, and playing cards and putting puzzles together. Everything you would need is right here, no way to be bored!! If you forget something, (aluminum foil) Trish has it at the cabin!! We have some great memories to cherish from our time at this cabin!!

Cabin was outstanding clean and neat.

  • 5 of 5

Maggie Valley is a great place it's quite and more laid back than Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but close enough to drive to. The trip into the national park was outstanding and if you visit this area it's a must see. If you stay at this cabin there is a topo map on the wall that is neat we spent some time studying it you have to check it out!

heaven in NC

  • 5 of 5

Our friends and us could not have enjoyed the stay at "Trish's" more. I would still be there if time allowed. We certainly plan to engage the heavenly property again soon.

Everything worked properly for us and the mountain road to Trish's was exciting but not fearful. Thanks again for handling this rental for us.

Weekend get away

  • 4 of 5

Trish was very quick getting back to book home. Home was very clean and inviting. Quiet location. Beautiful

view of sun rise and sunset. I would recommend Trish's Place to anyone wanting a get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday lifestyle. The pantry was stocked if you forgot something. Lots and lots of movies for children and adults. We hope to visit her home again.

Maggie Valley, situated in North Carolina's stunning Smoky Mountains, is known for its unrivaled location and friendly, small town character. This town is one of the most relaxing places I've ever been. I enjoy driving down the mountain in the morning and heading down main street to visit the shops. There are many shops and local stores some that sell fresh made fudge and others that sale Maggie Valley gifts you can give to your friends. If you turn right from our home you will come up to Old Grey Mare, a local shop that has the best boiled peanuts ever! They also have fresh produce and gifts for the family. Travel down that road a ways more and you will be in Cherokee where you can either buy a fishing license and try your luck at some trout fishing or test your luck at Harrah's casino. They also have a kids play room in there so mom and dad can get some free time. Joey's Pancake house has a line of people out the door every time I drive by in the morning it seems. It's worth a visit even though you may have to wait a little bit.
