About Mary

This property has been converted to a cottage when my husband and I moved back to Prince Edward Island after we retired from working in Manitoba for 30 years. It was my husband's family home for many years before we were married in 1968. This is a very peaceful area of PEI, there are beautiful beaches in this area of Prince Edward Island and lots to do. North Lake Tuna Capital of the World is less than 5 minutes away.

Mary purchased this cottage in 2006

Why Mary chose Points East

This is the perfect place for a cottage. Elmira Railway Museum is right next door, Eastpoint Lighthouse is minutes away, North Lake Fishing Harbour is just down the road, and the most beautiful beaches in Eastern PEI are minutes away.

What makes this cottage unique

You are so close to Confederation Trail you can walk or bike the trail, you can actually see the trail from the cottage. It starts at Elmira Ralway Museum which is right next door. You can charter a boat and go Deep Sea Fishing or maybe even see a Giant Blue Fin Tuna landed at North Lake Fishing Harbour. Beautiful Eastpoint Lighthouse is about 5 minutes from the cottage.

If your wanting a get away , and stay in a a well kept house this is it. You will not be disappointed staying here. Everything you need is in the house and the people are very nice Mary and Bob. I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. Lots of places to go on the east side and to just relax.Near beaches, lighthouse tour, the harbor and many other wonderful places.

Our stay in Elmira was a memorable one. It was spacious and extremely well maintained. We were minutes to great beaches, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this property.

Exactly as billed

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely older house in the northeastern tip of PEI, and Mary is a wonderful host. We didn't spend much time here aside from sleeping (there is so much in PEI to enjoy!), but our family of 5 slept well. The kids loved their rooms and were very comfy in their beds.

The house is clean, well kept, and makes a perfect home base for exploring the east side of the island. The drive to Charlottetown is about 1:10, with little traffic, and you're just minutes from Basin Head beach.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Bob and Mary for providing such a cozy, clean and very inviting home. Our two week stay on the island was great. We always feel like we are coming home when we arrive on the east end of PEI, and our stay in your little house made it that much more enjoyable.

Your "between two waters" home is in an excellent location for exploring the East end of the island and we will certainly be back.

Love Dawn, Bob, Sherry and Matt

Peaceful getaway

  • 4 of 5

My husband & I and our two west highland terriers had a great time staying here. We were looking for a nice, quiet place away from tourist crowds and this spot fit the bill perfectly. Mary and Bob were lovely hosts and the property was neat and very clean and everything was provided. Lots of books and reading material and DVDs and board games. Being right next to the Confederation trail gave us a perfect spot for dog walks and the Singing Sands beach was only 5km away. The night sky was spectacular - so many stars!!! We did a fair bit of cooking for ourselves but also drove the 20km to Souris for dinner and also St. Peter's Bay for fish and chips. We highly recommend this property and will endeavour to be back soon.
