Cute Cabin In The Sequoia National Forrest At Approx 6,000ft With Great Views

This is our guest cabin up in Sugarloaf and is set up for large families our multiple families with two rooms that have king beds, one room has four bunk beds with two fulls and 6 twin beds and the family room has a hide-a-bed couch. We remodeled it a few years ago with a new kitchen, new floors and fresh paint along with a new deck. We have an old ski hill that's fun to sled on and there's lots of places to hike or just relax and get away from the city life. Parking for 3 small cars or two large vehicles only. Other vehicles need to be parked on main road not in our neighbors spots.

When booking please be honest about number of total guest, we welcome large groups but ask that you pay the $25pp extra fee after 4. Holiday weekends we request 3 nights instead of the standard 2.

Please leave cabin as clean as you find it minus the linens as we wash those after each stay. Please wash your dishes n clean up

About Owner/Property Manager

I helped build this cabin with my 3 brothers and our parents back in 1979 and then in 1995 I was able to purchase it after my father passed away and lost the cabin. It has a lot of sentimental value and we take very nice care of it. We go up there to our main cabin almost every weekend so if we are there stop in and say hi!

Owner/Property Manager purchased this cabin in 1995

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Posey

This cabin is clean and newly remodeled with lots of room for bigger groups. Its located in a small community but is close to some great spots like Calif Hot Springs, the Trail of 100 Giants (Redwoods) and not to far from Kernville and Lake Isabella (hour)

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was very nice and well-kept and a great place to stay after primitive camping for several night in the Golden Trout Wilderness. The host, Jim, was very accessible and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. At a higher altitude, it was nice to be out of the heat of the lower areas. The family really enjoyed it. Thanks for a great stay.

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Some friends and I stayed at Jim's cabin over New Year's weekend- we had a blast! Jim was very communicative while we were planning our trip before and after we booked. He sent us some detailed directions to get to the cabin (follow the directions closely!! We got a little lost). The cabin was warm, clean, and ready to receive our crew when we arrived. Jim and Karen were helpful with getting us set up and helped out with our friends who got stuck at the bottom of the hill with no 4WD. I can't say enough about their hospitality... they brought us fire wood and even some champagne and treats to ring in the new year!

The cabin itself was very cozy... we had some kids with us and they loved the bunk beds. There was plenty of space for all. The kitchen was up-to-date and we had no problems cooking and BBQing on the deck for the 7 adults and 2 kids in our crew. It snowed almost the whole day on NYE and it was totally beautiful! There's a great sledding hill within walking distance and we spent a good part of the day there. We brought a few sleds and the cabin had some there as well.

We will definitely be back for more winter fun or when it warms up!

Enjoyed the stay

  • 4 of 5

This cabin house is very spacious and has enough bedrooms for a comfortable stay. Jim and his family were very courteous and friendly, guiding us on the places to visit nearby.

Overall it was a memorable trip and a great place to stay away from home.
