Very nice and quaint. Loved the fenced backyard for dogs.

  • 5 of 5

Spoke with Stephanie prior and was given a code for the door. This worked great- no need to worry about a key. The place was very homey and quaint. We were able to bring our two fur-babies. They were able to roam the back yard since it was fenced and no need to have to leash them to go out.

Stephanie was available via text if we needed anything.

We really didn't utilize the kitchen or grill but great idea to have as an alternative to eating out. Plus also washer and dryer available if needed.

Being pet friendly and having the fenced yard was worth every penny to us.

Thank you Stephanie

Cool little cabin in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This compact little 1940s-era cabin is so cute and awesome my partner and I fantasized about finding one of our own. Loved all the old-school details, like original floors and doors, and appreciated the up-to-date kitchen and bathroom. We actually slept on the pull-out couch because we liked the feeling of the open living space (and being able to watch TV in bed) and found that the memory foam mattress was really comfortable, definitely the best of any pull-out sofa I've ever slept on! The dogs were content here, it was a nice place to read and write, and it was a great home base for hanging out in Rapid City and the Black Hills. Across the street is also a great loop trail through the woods that goes along the creek, perfect for running and for walking the pups. All in all, a great place to stay, and would do it again.

LOVED OUR STAY!!

  • 5 of 5

Had never been to So. Dakota and didn't really know what to expect. It's now one of our new favorite vacation spots!! What a wonderful week, and it got off to a great start the minute we stepped into this cozy little cabin/house in an adorable neighborhood. It was well appointed right down to the dog dish!! Had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie while there and she was warm and welcoming just as I had expected from our pre-trip emails and messages. We spent the week exploring, hiking, meeting and getting recommendations from locals!! It was wonderful! Favorites included the almost 2 hour drive to Devils Tower in Wyoming, The Badlands, Spearfish Canyon with lunch at Lewies on the way. Had lots of fun in Sturgis and Deadwood. Would NOT recommend the weekend dinner theater in Deadwood, Nellie's Revenge. We left at intermission. But that was truly the only thing we did that was less than wonderful! Be sure to have the bread pudding at The Alpine Inn in Hill City! Oh my goodness!!!! We will definitely return and when we do, we'll be calling Stephanie to stay again!! Thanks for everything!

Perfect for a small family.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in Stephanie's cabin for a week at the end of Sept and beginning of November 2016. The cabin was small, clean and comfortable and perfect for three, and two small dogs. The back yard is fenced in for the dogs to run and play. There was adequate sleeping for at least five or six. I loved that there was a washer and dryer. It is located in a nice residential area adjacent to Canyon Lake Park, which was beautiful this time of year and perfect for morning or evening walks. The location is central to many of the sights (especially loved the badlands, Custer park and Deadwood). Steph was always available and responsive to our questions. Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Perfect Black Hills getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Steph's cabin for a long weekend in mid-September and it was wonderful! Steph made the process of renting so easy --- she was quick to respond to any questions and really made it stress-free. I had never rented through a site like this before and was a little apprehensive, but it ended up being a wonderful experience. The cabin itself is in a great location, so close to the beautiful Canyon Lake Park. When we arrived, the inside was very clean and we were impressed to find it stocked with so many little amenities. The place had some natural wear and tear (which we liked), but everything appeared to be very well maintained and tidy. One of the best parts was the fenced in backyard --- the dogs absolutely loved it! During our stay we ventured out on some hiking trips, and each time we looked forward to returning to the cabin to relax and unwind. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat, we felt right at home!
