Located on 70 acres just 10 minutes from Oxford, Sardis, and the Airport. This secluded home is perfect for Football Game weekends, Graduation, Double Decker, or just a quiet weekend. The only noise you will hear here is crickets. Most mornings wake to fog lifting off the lake as the birds, squirrels, and deer wake up to feed.

I have been practicing dentistry in Oxford for 19 years. My family and I enjoy Ole Miss sports, traveling to the beach, and I am an avid hunter. We built a new house but love this one and the area it is in. We could not part with it. We were living in it when our little ones were born, so it will always be home to us
Ashley purchased this house in 1997
The first time I saw this home, although it had a gravel drive and wooden bridge, I knew it was mine. We bought it in 1997 and over the next 7 years, totally remodeled it, even the drive and bridge. It is only 10 minutes out of town, but you feel like you are in the middle of a National Forest. Feeders are set up around the pond to attract wildlife and in the winter ducks and geese call it home.
Oxford is one of the greatest places on earth. Has been listed numerous times as one of the best places to retire. Spend the day shopping in town, ballgames, or graduation and return to peace and quiet in the country. Sit on the back deck drinking coffee and listening to the roosters, quail, squirrels, etc as they wake up . Right in the middle of beautiful 100 year old timber.
This home is very comfortable and clean with great surroundings. It is about 15 minutes from the Square down College Hill Road. We were visiting our son, a sophomore at Ole Miss and we were able to go back and for the very easily. The owner is great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed.
Luckily, I found this little gem before a recent trip to Oxford for Parents Weekend. It is absolutely adorable & the pictures just do not capture the southern charm or easy living. It is so inviting and has all the comforts of home. It was so relaxing to sit on the screened in porch every morning for coffee and enjoy the surrounding woods & lake. In fact, we did not want to leave. It is an easy/short drive to campus and the square. The owners (Ashley & Mike) are as adorable at the home...they were so accommodating and went above & beyond to make our stay comfortable and to make sure that we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend the property if you are planning a trip to Oxford for a football weekend or any weekend getaway. You will not be disappointed!! I know I have found a home away from home when in Oxford.
We stayed for 4 days/3 nights during a football weekend. We had a wonderful time. The owners are great people and very accomodating. As great as the pictures may look, the property and home are better in person. It's private, unique, on beautiful property, and though we were initially just looking for a place to stay during a busy football weekend, our experience at the home became as big a part of our weekend adventure as the game. We plan to go back in the future, football game or not. We had dinner at local restaurants, but our next trip will include more plans to just stay home, cook and enjoy the surroundings. The owners are nearby and took care of us. Oxford was crazy busy the weekend we visited; the owners offered their suggestions and contacts to make sure we were able to get around town and enjoy the local establishments. This is a great place to make as your home camp for a trip to the Oxford area, or to spend as a vacation getting away and enjoying a beautiful home on a peaceful country property. It's a unique find.
