About Chris or Anna Corr
A small family of four, we fell in love with Hossegor and its surroundings. Attracted originally by its surfing beaches, we also loved the cycling, running and swimming opportunities and its relaxed sun kissed atmosphere. Our two children grew up in the house and we enjoy many family holidays with our friends there.
Chris or Anna Corr purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Chris or Anna Corr chose Hossegor
When we were looking for a property in Hossegor, we found this unique opportunity of a small piece of land in the forest and decided to build our own holiday haven. This was then, the last plot available for construction on the route des lacs before the communal forest and our modern villa was designed for outdoors living and completed in 2009. We have not looked back since
What makes this Villa unique
It has been designed for outdoors living which means that when the bay windows are open, there are no inside/outside feeling. The large patio enables everyone to have breakfast in front of the forest in the morning and enjoy a drink in the afternoon sun in our outside lounge.

Tout a été parfait
Séjour très agréable dans cette grande villa moderne tres bien équipée.
This is an amazing place to stay in with a beautiful veranda all the way round the house where one can lie in hammocks or sit and read whilst listening to the birds tweeting. The kitchen and living room are great for entertaining and there is plenty to keep the children busy in the garden. We has a very peaceful time with friends and children, good food and wine galore. Also great local surfing and beaches and restaurants......I look forward to visiting again.
secure, spacious, comfortable and well equipped
We have stayed at this property a few times as we find it conveniently located for getting out and exploring the area. Property is fantastic for big groups and sociable layout works well for families with big and small kids. No hesitation in recommending property.
The villa is beautifully decorated and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. We had up to 8 people and 2 babies staying and we all managed to live together in harmony! The villa is light and airy with a lovely outdoor space with ample seating. The setting of the villa is lovely as it is right in the forest. You definitely need a car to get to the nearest town and beaches as they are too far to walk. Although this makes for a tranquil and private setting when using the villa.
Surfing beaches of Capbretton and Hossegor about 2 minutes drive and the wonderful Spanish city of San Sebastian only 30 minutes. We all thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, Chris and Anna (the owners) were so thoughtful and caring they communicated well to all our queries, all apologies to them for leaving it so long to write this review but I wish them the very best with the rental of this wonderful Villa in the future.
Light and Spacious House Amidst Pine Forest
We spent a great week in Hossegor with our two young children and friends.
The house is well-equipped and comfortable with plenty of outdoor and indoor
communal space. I love the living area with huge windows on both sides, it
feels as if you are outside whilst you are inside. It even has a children's
play house, so we didn't feel we had to rush out in the mornings to distract
the children because they were playing happily whilst we sat around. Saying
that, there is plenty to do nearby, I ran around the lake and through quiet
tracks in the pine forests. We also really enjoyed paddle boarding on the
lake, and trips to the beach. There are some great ice-cream shops in
Hossegor and good restaurants nearby.
Lovely house in the woods
We stayed with two other families in this lovely house on the edge of the pine forest. There was a huge amount of space for us all and plenty of garden for the kids to run around in. We spent a lot of our time on the beaches, the closest of which is only a few minutes drive away. It was also a short bike ride or drive to the nearby bars and restaurants. One of the nicest things was the feeling of waking up in the forest every morning. All in all a great place to stay.
Quoted from Michelin 'The Green Guide - Atlantic Coast' - 'Hossegor is a pleasant seaside resort bordered by the Boudigau Canal, which separates the town from neighbouring Capbreton. Thanks to the efforts of successive generations of local architects, writers and painters...this choice natural site wooded with pines, cork-oak and arbutus has been carefully developed into a holiday centre complete with parks, gardens, hotels, a casino and a golf course'
• A round of golf at two of France's best courses (Top 15)
• An afternoon in the surf - bliss
• A lazy afternoon sailing on the lagoon Lac d'Hossegor
• Bike rides in the pine forests with the kids
• Re-visiting our youth at a sea-front night spot such as Cream Café
• People gazing at the Café de Paris
• A good sprinkling of smart shops, cafés and a casino to enjoy.
