About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedroom + Loft + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Custom luxury home nestled in a National Park-like setting. Perched next to the Big Laurel River trout stream, the home has views of the stream from most all of the many windows. Listen to the stream rushing by. Mostly private setting near the end of the road; you can see one other home but its down a ways. Gated community that is like having a park almost to yourself, there are only 16 homes within about 300 acres. A short hike up the mountain provides awe-inspiring mountain views. Seven miles to the quaint village of Hot Springs and the infamous natural mineral springs for soaking in, along Spring Creek and the French Broad River for rafting and kayaking. The Appalachian Trail goes through Hot Springs and the ridgeline of the AT can be viewed within the community. Come and visit the Blue Ridge Mountains at their finest; turkey, bear, bobcat, deer, raccoon, hawks, eagles, and owls share the neighborhood. The area is famous for its hiking and water sports. Relax, enjoy nature, breathe the fresh air, sit by the mtn. stream, hike through the National Forest, fish the stream, raft the French Broad River, and rejuvenate in the mountains.

Keywords: Luxury Cabin on the Big Laurel trout stream, private, peaceful, gated community; near Hot Springs, the Appalachian Trail, NC Scenic Roads, Rafting, Kayaking, Pisgah National Forest, and only natural hot springs mineral spa in NC.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Wonderful place to stay. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our party, and all of us were impressed with the beautiful, spacious home, sounds of the stream, magnificent views, and privacy. We were also very pleased to see that the house was very well stocked--kitchen items, linens, everything we needed and wanted. Some of our group went tubing down the stream right in front of the house. All of us enjoyed a full day whitewater rafting on one of the days, and were pleased to come back to this beautiful home in the evening. We used the grill, sat out on the porch, roasted marshmallows, went inside and watched a DVD on the huge flat screen...We had a splendid vacation and highly recommend this home and our rental agent Deb Burks.

BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot recommend highly enough. A beautiful home in a gorgeous location. The home was immaculate and the kitchen was fully equipped. Plenty of linens, blankets, pillows, etc. Both sofa and loveseat recline, which is super after a day of hiking ; ) As if all that was not enough, my favorite part of the property was opening the front windows and listening to the sound of the Laurel River. Every day I was able to walk the private road alongside the river- I can think of nothing better to recharge your batteries than the sound of the river! (And I have my own property on siesta key! Lol I guess its true- to each his own!)

Deb was a pleasure and I look forward to staying again : )

breathtaking

A group of friends shared this home for a week and we absolutely loved it. It's proximity to Hot Springs made the drive a breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook large meals. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax, when we were home. And that river right outside the front door!

Pictures do not do this house justice.

Woke up every morning to deer in the front yard or in the river just in front of the house. It’s nice and quiet I may have seen three people while we were there. Just a nice quiet getaway

Phenomenal experience!!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cabin for our wedding weekend May 17-21, 2018. Deb was more than accommodating and just a pleasure! I have rented cabins in the past in other locations, but nothing has ever compared to this one! Deb has everything provided that you could possibly need for your stay! We absolutely had the best experience and could not have asked for a better weekend!! Thank you so much Deb!

We will definitely be back!

A wonderful, beautiful cabin. Exactly as described. They have almost everything you need for an extended stay (blankets, toilet paper, paper towels, pots, pans, select spices for cooking, etc.). The garage was an added bonus, as we were able to pack up while it rained. Lovely outdoor seating area, which we took full advantage of. Would highly recommend this cabin!

Waters' Edge Cabin is in the same development as the Lodge at Bear River; a gorgeous setting for a wedding or event.

Hot Springs has the only natural hot water mineral springs in North Carolina, a perfect place for a natural mineral bath....don't miss it.

Rafting, hiking, fishing, and getting back to nature. The area feels like being in a National Park without all of the traffic.
