NEWLY ADDED MASTER BATHROOM RARE AIR CONDITIONING! WHILE NOT USUALLY NEEDED, IF SUMMER TRADEWINDS CEASE, YOU WILL SLEEP LIKE A BABY. NORMALLY, OVERHEAD AND/OR ROOM FANS ARE QUITE ADEQUATE. VERY FEW CONDOS HAVE A/C DUE TO HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION RESTRICTIONS AND HIGH COST OF ISLAND ELECTRICITY. WE ALSO JUST ADDED A REFRESHING OVERHEAD LANAI FAN.

We live in Avila Beach along the central coast of California. We fulfilled our dream of owning a piece of Hawaii by recently purchasing this Poipu Sands unit. We have visited the various islands of Hawaii many times since our honeymoon 33 years ago. We always seem to gravitate back to the 'garden Island' of Kauai and specifically sunny Poipu Beach. Within the small community of Poipu, we fell in love with the tranquility, proximity, and amenities of the Poipu Sands development. Combined with fresh papaya and Kona coffee, we look forward to many more mornings watching the tropical sunrise from off our lanai or down at the adjacent Grand Hyatt. Why Bruce Trubo chose Poipu

After many visits to the Hawaiian islands, we found ourselves drawn back to the lush, tropical 'Garden Island' of Kauai. With it's rivers and waterfalls, breathtaking Napali coastline, pristine beaches, and undeveloped tropical greenery, Kauai defines paradise. The south side of the islands beckons the most days of sunshine which characterizes why we chose 'sunny Poipu'. Finally, the Poipu Sands Resort offers a peaceful, private, tranquility not found at many of the other larger developments. It's proximity to a beautiful beach, a short stroll past the Grand Hyatt to the bluffs beyond Shipwreck Beach, your private tennis court and heated pool, BBQ's to grill up some fresh fish, chicken, or steak, enormous greenbelt for sun and safe play.....the list goes on as to why we knew after many visits that Poipu Sands had it all!!

What makes this condo unique

Just a short stroll down our frontage path will lead you to the Hyatt and the Mahaulepu Coastal Trail, which begins just beyond the beach. This trail is a special part of the Kauai History Heritage site and the last stretch of accessible coastline on the South Shore that has not been developed. This gorgeous coastal hike takes you across a variety of easy to moderate terrain with incredible ocean vistas, tidepools, sacred lava burial grounds, and even a sinkhole cave. The area provides a safe haven for marine life, such as sea turtles and the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. The trail leads to beautiful Mahaulepu Beach, a great place to spot whales in the winter or observe (from a distance) a monk seal napping on the beach.

Next door to the Sands, you can wander around the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa`s lush tropical gardens or indulge in a reviving treatment at the world-class Anara Spa. Well Kept

The condo is newly renovated and well furnished. I especially liked the double sink in the master bathroom, having a second bathroom, and the nice kitchen area.

I also liked how close the Hyatt was - the grounds there were even more gorgeous than they are in pictures, and the nearness of the hike to Shipwreck Beach was also a plus.

The bedroom air conditioned unit was perfect - kept us cool during the night which helps me sleep. There were past reports that the Internet is spotty here. The connection wasn't perfect but worked most of the time when we tried to use it. Also, if there is an amenity of less importance in Hawaii, it is probably the Internet.

Would definitely stay here again! Great location, clean, and as mentioned, really nicely renovated!

Great Stay in 413

The property was as advertised. The owner, Bruce was Awesome to work with!! Great one bedroom condo, furnishings were up to date, the king size bed was very comfy the A/C in the bedroom was only need the first couple nights until the trade winds started to blow again. We were disappointed the pool was under renovation and wasn’t available. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils…only thing missing was a hand mixer. There were some items in the spice cabinet that stated should be refrigerated after opening that were very ripe and should be tossed out.

Lovely unit

This unit has everything you need to be comfortable. The air conditioner in the bedroom was wonderful a it was extremely hot while we were there and slept with it on nightly.

There is enough shampoo, hand soap and lotion supplied for your entire stay. Also enough laundry detergent. I usually bring some of my own but didn't need it in this unit.

I have stayed in other units in the past and this one is the most recently upgraded one. Some of the others still need upgrades.

If I come back I will try to book this unit again.

We had a great stay!! Lovely unit! We were able to check in early which was greatly appreciated!! Pool was being resurfaced which was the only disappointment! Would stay here again.

Wonderful

We visit Kauai annually and usually stay for 2 1/2 weeks - as we did this time. We

love exploring the island with the things we love to do (hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, relaxing/reading, cooking the wonderful fresh fish/grass-fed Kauai beef, fresh veges/fruit from the Farmers' markets, etc.). We spent the first part of our trip on Anini Beach to spend time in the North, and then the remainder in this lovely condo in Poipu Sands to do all the things we love in the South. The location was spectacular and the condo is incredibly well stocked with everything you would need. Beautifully decorated and quiet! We could easily walk right out the condo to one of our favorite hikes from Shipwreck Beach along the Mahaulepu trail and as far as you can go - most gorgeous shoreline !!!! Again, this condo is ideal. The pool was under construction during our stay - but the owners/property management arranged for us to visit the nearby Athletic Club so that we could enjoy a quick swim in a pool after a day of hiking. All was wonderful and you will love this place.
