Beautiful home in an excellent location.
Excellent location with spectacular water views.
This property is well located on the harbor in Stonington Borough. The views from the second and third floors are spectacular and are significantly better than they look from the photos on the webpage. The house is very large with much of the first floor being two stories. It is very well maintained and is equipped with everything needed. It was extremely hot during our stay and the house is fully air conditioned. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Our kids took sailing lessons on Stonington Harbor and Fisher's Island Sound and we could comfortably watch them from the second floor living room. Two of the three bedrooms have amazing water views and each is set up as a suite with sitting areas in front of the large windows. They both have their own bathroom as well. The property is centrally located on the harbor and there is a very nice playground across the street. It is an easy walk to all of the borough restaurants as well as antique stores and coffee shops. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this property.
We had a great time
Lovely views, good proximity to restaurants, playground for children, right in downtown Stonington.
Owners very responsive, kind, helpful. Best for children 4 or older due to loft/stairs. Ample parking.
This home is absolutely darling! Comes with all amenities, and is neat and clean! Views are spectacular and the location is incredibly wonderful. THE BOOK NOOK IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We loved the library and seating area to read and relax to enjoy the magnificent views!! Prime location to beach and town, as well as within driving distance to CT and RI attractions. We took trips to Mystic, Newport and Block Island, it was an incredible vacation. We are so grateful to Steven and Sharon for their generous hospitality and kindness. We hope to visit again soon! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
great area, so much to do!
This was a very interesting house and in a great location right on the water. I was taken aback upon arriving to find that we were sharing the house with two other tennants. One tenant in a small apartment that shared our tiny patio, and the other out the back door with three small dogs that were not very happy we were going by. The people who lived there were very nice but it would have been nice to know they were going to be a part of our vacation before hand. The home is not set up to be condusive for a beach, bike or fishing stay, as there is no place to keep materials, clean up, is difficult for children and older adults, and no beach chairs were provided. There was no beach pass to the private beach at the end of the point. In my experience this has always been provided by the rental. There is no bathroom on the first floor, and the stairs to get up are difficult with railings a bit scary. This house would be perfect for people who want to read, antique, walk, but other ocean front activities will be challenging in this space.
There is so much to do, either walking out the front door or getting in the car and travelling a short distance.
Just down the road is Mystic Seaport, with its fabulous historical village, and its wondrous collection of sailing ships, and boats. Next door is the world class Mystic Aquarium. Besides its fabulous collection of underwater life, the aquarium is also home to Robert Ballard’s Institute for Exploration. Ballard of course discovered the wreck of the Titanic.

It is a prime recreation in Stonington, as all kind of craft navigate Watch Hill Bay, Block Island Sound, Long Island Sound, and the Atlantic Ocean.
