BECAUSE OUR CABIN IS A BIT DIFFICULT TO FIND, JERRY USUALLY MEETS RENTERS IN DENVER (OR NEAR NEDERLAND) IN ORDER TO LEAD THEM DIRECTLY TO THE CABIN AND SPEND SOMETIME WITH THEM FOR ANY UNIQUE INSTRUCTIONS. FOR THAT REASON WE NEED RENTERS TO MEET HIM NO LATER THAN 3:00 P.M. IN THE AFTERNOON NEAR DENVER OR NEDERLAND IN ORDER TO GET TO THE CABIN AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING BEFORE IT STARTS GETTING DARK. YOU NEED TO ARRANGE PLANE ARRIVALS OR CAR ARRIVALS TO ACCOMMODATE THAT TIME FRAME. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THAT CONSIDERATION.
WE ALSO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 NIGHTS AND A MAXIMUM OF 5 NIGHTS FOR RENTING.
ALSO: ANYONE WHO RENTS THE CABIN DURING SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER WOULD NEED TO HAVE A 4-WHEEL DRIVE (AND KNOW HOW TO USE ONE) JUST IN CASE WE HAVE AN EARLY SNOWSTORM. IT DOESN'T USUALLY SNOW BEFORE LATE OCTOBER, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.
Accommodations: Log cabin; sleeps 2 comfortably, 1 queen sized bed, 1 bathroom, kitchen, and living area with gas fireplace.
Enjoy a unique mountain experience in an updated log cabin built in 1955 and located on the edge of Thorodin Mountain--The Sleeping Giant. Except for the mountain terrain, you would think you were back in time at the Little House on the Prairie. The views of the Continental Divide from the upper deck are breathtaking. This unique cabin sleeps 2 people comfortably and has hot and cold running water, toilet and shower, Denver landline telephone, gas log fireplace, electric and gas heat, modern kitchen, flat screen TV/DVD, WI-Fi, and satellite TV. The cabin is nestled in the Rocky Mountains in Gilpin County, Colorado, at an altitude of 9,400 feet. It is located approximately 1 hour from Denver.
