A beautiful site!! Wonderful bird song!! We enjoyed the tennis court too!! We loved the quiet and privacy of this location and enjoyed the dock, in the evening in particular. The deck was nice and we were impressed with how comfortable the plastic rocking chairs are, a good solution. House was comfortable and well equipped, kitchen well supplied for cooking. A few things need repair, but overall it was a great time in a beautiful location. We really enjoyed a few side trips, especially to Little Grand Canyon on a gorgeous day. Tom was very accommodating and easy to reach... we communicated by text and phone as needed.
Quiet, lovely setting for a quiet writing weekend
My husband and I spent three nights in this nice cabin as a writing retreat weekend. Needed to get away from the distractions of home in Atlanta and focus on some writing projects. So, while we can't comment on the fishing or other recreational activities that the cabin is well positioned for, we can comment on what a wonderful place it was for a very quiet weekend spent mostly indoors (though we did enjoy walking down to the dock and around the neighborhood).
Both bedrooms have desks with reading lights and plugs for laptops (just have to bring chairs from dining table, which works fine), plus the kitchen has a large desk. Wifi worked great. Bed was very comfortable, kitchen is no-frills but has all the basics, and overall the house feels cozy but never cramped. HVAC worked great (we used both heat and air-conditioning during our stay -- the crazy temperature fluctuations of Spring in Georgial!)
Loved the light throughout the house with big sliding glass doors on three walls and windows in the bedrooms. Lovely view of the lake from living room, dining area, and part of kitchen. And, unlike many lake or mountain cabins that can feel dreary with lots of wood paneled walls and ugly brown furniture, the use of subtle color and white cabinetry in this cabin made for a very pleasant and up-to-date atmosphere.
I highly recommend it!
Very nice cabin and location which was great for annual fishing trip with son and grandson
What a beautiful place to get away to! The cabin is right on the lake with a dock and you even have your own private little beach. If your looking for a nice quite get away this is the place! With that said it's close to several quaint little towns for shopping and restaurants. The owner Tom is extremely kind and helpful and the fact it's pet friendly made it even better! Already planning a return trip to enjoy that lake in the warm weather!
Spent a relaxing weekend with our Great Dane at this lovely small cottage on West Point Lake.
Quiet locale, perfect for restful weekend at the lake. Owner very responsive to inquiries. Will go there again.
A Nice private get away
Nice location on a secluded road and close to the lake. A few minor issues that Tom took care of, Very good to work with great communication.
