Perfect for our family of 4!

  • 5 of 5

Coffee and dinner on the terrace everyday. Drank rum punch and watched the moon come up over the ocean almost every night! Short drive to the beach where you can snorkel over the reef. (Don't forget to check out for any gear rental or book a night snorkeling with Hector. You'll really see the reef come alive at night.)

For our family, we prefer to stay where we can cook some of our meals rather than always eat out. The kitchen here was fully equipped and having a washer/dryer made all of the difference too!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Good location. Good value for the price.

The place was well maintained. Had both air conditioners and fans which was a real plus! Roof patio was a wonderful spot at the end of the day. Great views! All the beach gear and coolers came in real handy. Fajado was close to everything we wanted to see and do. Alana was friendly and helpful in suggesting sites to see and tour companies. Plus the unit is well stocked with brochures.

Fajardo is a great vacation place for those that truly want to relax & enjoy the culture.

  • 5 of 5

This was our best vacation yet! The condo was fabulous, super clean and a breath taking view of the ocean in front and mountains with a rain forest in back. The private balcony was a favorite spot to relax and enjoy the view with friends. We have already told most of our friends that we plan to return ASAP! There are beautiful beaches both far & near with warm carribiean waters smoothly flowing into protected bays. We thourghly enjoyed the locals and their culture. Amazing food, & not a single rude person. Our 3 bed with 2 full bath condo had everything we needed to cook there, this allowed us to save a fortune by not eating out every meal. It was equipped with a washer dryer combo so we packed light and didn't bring home a single stitch of dirty clothes. There was close easy access to any place you wanted to go. Like I said, our tans have not yet started to fade & we are planning our return trip!

Coming from minus 10 degrees to 84 what is there to complain about. The condo was comfortable and the balcony was nice & breezy. Alana was very helpful about everything and always available to answer questions. There were 6 of us adults so it was a little crowded at times but not too bad. Our "kids" (young adults) didn't like how you had to drive to get everywhere such as the beach and restaurants but we are used to traveling like that so it didn't bother us. Culebra (Flamenco beach) is a must see and having Alana get the ferry tickets in advance was wonderful, otherwise you are not guaranteed getting them or you have to wait in line for hours. The rainforest is also a fun afternoon excursion. The grounds of the condo are well kept and we definitely felt safe there.

Pleasant condo

  • 4 of 5

This review is not the swooning type (“this place is paradise on earth”), but rather more dispassionate, and hopefully more helpful.

This spacious condo is on the top (third) floor of the building, with private access to the roof, where there is a nice, covered balcony with a dining area and a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. The building is located in a gated community, which is nicely maintained and provides good security. However, the immediate area outside the community is not particularly attractive, and there is nothing within a walking distance, so a car is essential.

The municipality is Fajardo, about an hour drive from the San Juan airport. Within 10-15 minutes drive from the condo there are a couple of excellent beaches (Luquilla and Seven Seas). It is also close (about 1 mile) to the ferries to the nearby islands of Culbera and Viewques (we didn’t try them). In addition, it is only 30-35 minutes drive from the El Yunque rain forest (highly recommended). There is a cluster of excellent restaurants within 1 mile (we dined happily at Pasion Por El Fogon, Di Yukas, and Tasca Olelelolai).

The condo is well stocked with everything one needs for a vacation (linen, cooking, entertainment center, beach stuff, and so on), though some of the stuff is a bit dated. Our only serious issue were the ants in the kitchen and the bathrooms (there were several ant traps around, but they didn't seem to deter the ants). If it were not for this, we would award this place 5 stars.

Finally, the agent, Alana, was very cooperative, and her husband Cliff was extremely helpful in showing up promptly at the ungodly hour of 3:30 am to check us out (we had an early morning flight out of San Juan).

Winter vacation

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I wanted to take a winter escape to get away from the cold winter weather in Louisville, Ky, we felt that the condo was listed accurately; it was located approximately 8-10 minutes from the local beach which was not bad. The condo was very clean, very nice and well kept. The area where the condo is located is quiet which we enjoyed the most other than the friendly pigeons that showed up every morning outside the bedroom window looking for their daily breakfast (sho them away) and they are gone. The owner was very helpful and there to answer our questions and was willing to come if there was anything that we may have needed. I would definitely recommend this property as a suggestion for a place to stay or to choose for your vacation spot when visiting Puerto Rico. For something to do while staying here I would definitely recommend visiting old San Juan as one of your tourist attractions there are a lot of shops, boutiques, vendors and souvenir shops etc. I would recommend going to see the El Morro there is a lot of history there and a must see. As far as eats check out any of the restaurants in Bio Bay you can't go wrong, the sea food is fresh and absolutely delicious. We visited the week after Thanksgiving we were told this is their rain season and it rained everyday except one and a half days however we did make the best of those days. Fortunately, that did not put a damper on our spirits and how we felt about the wonderful time and experience that we had at Vista Real. We are already planning our next trip there and we will be staying at this condo, after staying here we refuse to stay anywhere else. The only negative suggestion that I have is don't go during their rainy season :-)
