Beautiful Villa in a stunning location.
House in the clouds - stunning views, great location
Two families (totalling 8) spent a wonderful week here this summer. The pool was very welcome due to the incredible heat (high 30's/low 40's). The outside space of the house is thoughtfully arranged to ensure that there is pretty much always somewhere to sit in the shade. The hammocks with views down across Alozaina and on to Malaga and Marbella in the distance were dreamy and the terrace (where we had most of our meals) had the most spectacular views. The kitchen was small (for two families) but well equipped and the bedrooms were decent sizes. The sitting room with its new sliding doors had comfortable furniture, glorious views, wifi and many many TV channels (which kept the youngest members of our party happy during 'siesta' hours). The access road was 'interesting' - very steep in parts and dusty. Took us a couple of nail-biting run ups on our arrival to get to the house but once we got used to it, it was fine (and quite fun). Ronda was beautiful and well worth a visit (and the drive there is well worth the effort). We would also all recommend a trip up to the lakes. It took us about an hour and we drove past all the busy sites and found a beautiful quiet cove with a smattering of locals. Alozaina itself is a lovely traditional Spanish white town and worth an evening stroll around. We all agreed that we would highly recommend this house.
Thank you Raquel for your detailed review, happy you enjoyed your holiday at the villa, you are welcome again anytime
We have just returned after a weeks stay. The booking was extremely easy and amazing communication through e mail from Jill. Lots of information about the villa and how to find the villa was sent before the holiday.
The villa is set high in the mountains which offers amazing scenery and peaceful time away from it all. The local supermarket in Alozaina is good for everyday items if needed. The supermarkets in Coin offer more produce and they are easy to find. We ventured into
Fuengirola one day which was nice but we soon found nd ourselves wanting to get back to the peace and tranquility that awaited by the pool.
The villa is well equipped and has lots of areas to sit throughout the day depending on what your requirements to sun or shade are. I especially loved the area under the roof terrace.
The family enjoyed time around the pool and again this is well equipped with furniture and umbrellas.
If you are looking for a peaceful get away this is the place!
Hi Andrew, thank you for taking the time to write the review. We are so happy you and your family enjoyed your holiday at the villa.
Peaceful relaxing holiday
We booked this villa because as a family we enjoy private, peaceful holidays. The area is beautiful quite high up in the hills which from the villa enjoys lovely views both during the day but especially at night when the sun is setting. The villa accommodated 7 adults quite well and the outside areas enabled us all to have space whether in shaded areas or in the sun. The accommodation was very clean and well resourced. If there was a negative the kitchen was quite small in comparison to the amount of people it could accommodate which became a little tricky when more than 2/3 were cooking/washing up.
We were aware that there was no air-conditioning and the fact we were in the height of summer it was a little warm at night. There were stand alone fans and one was broken when we arrived, we contacted the maintenance man and he quickly rectified the situation which was very good service; he was from England so for us who had very little Spanish language between us this was a bonus.
On a note to the owner Jill, I would like to thank her for her very prompt emails to our enquiries when booking as it is reassuring to know that the owner is genuine and honest in times when there are so many scams.
We would all return to this villa again when we are looking for a relaxing holiday away from the bustle of crowds; even though there are a couple of things which could make it better, it certainly would not deter us from returning.
Thank you for the use of your lovely holiday home Jill.
Kind regards from Chris and Don
A tranquil getaway
We booked Finca Cielo for a week of relaxation and we were not disappointed! The finca is situated high in the hills above Alozaina which provides a perfect retreat away from the noise of daily life with amazing views across the valley in all directions. No matter what time of the day there is somewhere to sit a relax either in or out of the sun (depending on your preference).
The pool had the sun all day long- you could be in the pool from first thing in the morning all the way until around 8 in the evening and you'd still be bathed in sunshine. After spending all day around the pool, the main terrace was the perfect place to retire to for dinner whilst watching the sun disappear behind the hills.
Shopping facilities were found in nearby Alozaina (though Coin has a more substantial supermarket where you can get fresh fish and meat from), and being less than an hours drive from Malaga airport it was all pretty convenient. All in all, a wonderful place that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to take some time out.
The property was in an amazing position with fantastic views across the mountains and to the coast. Our party was three adults and two children (aged 15 and 12) and the outside space was perfect for playing in the pool, lying in the sun or finding shade at any time of the day. The sun stayed on the pool until 7 or 8 in the evening so we made the most of it!
Evenings sitting on the balcony watching the setting sun were very relaxing.
We had an overnight trip to Grenada so we could make the most of the city as well as the Alhambra. This was a trip well worth doing.
We also had day trips to Ronda, a nearby lake and national park and saw vultures and even a couple of Ibex. Steve, who came to fill the pool gave us advice on where to go when we went to the lake. He also found details of a nearby stables where we could go riding.
Whilst we ate a a couple of local restaurants we enjoyed eating at the villa in the evening and used the barbecue on a number of occasions.
All in all it was a very relaxing holiday and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. I would definitely recommend this to friends to visit.
Thanks also to Jill and Malcolm who answered my many queries quickly and in detail.
Thankyou so much for your kind words, it is makes us happy to know that people have had a great time a the villa.
Due to our location in the sierra Nieves national park, outdoor pursuits such as walking, mountain biking and horse riding are popular with our guests.
Throughout the year there are many fiestas and ferias in the white villages for more information on dates contact us. The City of Ronda with its breathtaking gorge, fantastic restaurants and shops is only a 45 min. drive from the finca, as are the chic coastal towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus if you fancy a day on the beach, a stroll around the marina or lunch in one of the fabulous beach front restaurants.
Sevilla the capital city of Andalucia and Granada with its famous Alhambra palace are under a 2 hour drive and well worth a visit during your stay.
