About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 9-13)

Enjoy this spacious, 3,000 square foot home located across the street from the Aspen Hills golf course and walking distance from fishing, tennis courts, and 1 mile from the swimming pool, sand volley ball and park.

This 3 level cabin offers 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a nook, as well as a convertible full sized bed.

TOP FLOOR: Large master bedroom (King sized bed) with it's own private balcony and attached 1/2 bathroom. An additional bedroom with 2 twin beds, a small nook holds another twin bed, and this floor also hosts a full bathroom.

MAIN FLOOR: Two bedrooms, 1 with a King, the 2nd room has a queen bed. There is a door separating the bedrooms from the main area if you're wanting a morning to sleep in. The main floor bathroom has a large counter as well as a shower/tub. On this floor you will also find the kitchen/dining/ and family area with a large 42' Flat Screen TV. The oversized windows and sliding glass door access to the deck make it a perfect place to enjoy spending time together watching movies, playing games, reading books or viewing the mountains and wildlife.

BOTTOM FLOOR: Here you'll find a roomy family area with a large sectional couch, card playing/ puzzle table, ping pong table and big screen TV. The couch converts to a full sized bed and 1 additional twin mattress to accommodate more sleeping arrangements. On this floor you will find the washer and dryer, a full bathroom, as well as the garage to store any personal gear.

Our family friendly cabin offers great room for your family time as well as an additional family area on the first floor when you're ready for a break from the group. Sit back and relax on the over-sized, covered deck while you enjoy the view of the mountains. Nestled in the aspen trees, wood country cabin helps you slow down and remember how to relax.

Each bedroom is equipped with a dresser, nightstands, lamps and a closet. The fully equipped kitchen has basic cooking supplies. The large table seats 6 and 4 more can sit at the bar. There are 2 folding chairs in a closet. There is additional seating on the deck with tables and chairs.

When you are done relaxing there is a lot to do. There are 4 golf courses here in Star Valley Ranch. In fact the Aspen Hills golf course has the hardest hole in all of Wyoming, hole # 4, (it's tough). There are plenty of hiking and ATV trails on the mountains to the east. The Salt River flows through the middle of the valley which provides world class fishing or you can grab a tube and float. Don't forget your life jacket.

Jackson is 60 minutes away with fun shops, lots of wildlife (elk, bears, moose, deer, mountain goats etc) plus a majestic view of the Tetons.

If you are here during the winter the golf course is groomed for sledding plus snow shoeing and cross country skiing trails. Snow mobiles are allowed on the course but a permit is required (very cheap). You are also a little over an hour away from Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for some great skiing. Jackson also has dog sledding. This is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

Keywords: Cabin, house located close to golfing, swimming, tennis, and other activities. 1 hour from Jackson Hole and Teton National Park.

About Marcus

We are your average working family that loves to get away and have fun. We love to sit around the table and play games at night and then wake up the next day and play hard. We love to laugh. My wife and I love Star Valley. My wife's family goes back to the early days of Star Valley and I grew up in the Salt Lake City area.

Marcus purchased this cabin in 2017

Why Marcus chose Star Valley

I rented this property for 5 years for family vacations from the previous owner. My family has made a lot of memories up here and we continue to make more. I personally have been visiting the Star Valley area for over 20 years. We love that you have that 'in the mountains' feel but have the access to grocery stores, restaurants, and innumerable activities. I also love that I can pull my kids away from their "busy" lives and spend quality time with them at a place that is full of fun activities.

What makes this cabin unique

We love the easy access to the many activities this location provides. We can walk to golfing, swimming, tennis courts, the park or head out for a bike, snowmobile and/or ATV ride. It's only a short drive to any number of activities. Boating, fishing, hunting, rafting, shopping, live theater, museums, national parks, movie theater, bowling, etc. Jackson Hole is only a beautiful hour drive away as well as Teton National Park.

Great for families!

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place to escape daily demands and enjoy the scenery and time with family. It was fun to have four deer near the driveway to welcome us when we arrived! We have young children and we appreciated that there were games and activities there to keep them entertained. We also enjoyed a hike to Intermittent Spring, the perfect length for our kids. The kitchen is well supplied, and rooms are spread out to allow for nappers, etc. The only problem we had was locating the toilet paper supply! I would highly recommend this cabin to others.

Best kept secret

  • 5 of 5

We Loved staying here with our family. We had 8 of us including a 2 year old and there was plenty of room. Great location close to grocery shopping, and golfing. We spent time in Jackson Hole riding horses and running the river. It felt like coming home in the evenings. We watched the Olympics and enjoyed time on the large deck and played a lot of ping pong. I hate to even review this place because I want to keep it a secret. Everything was clean and well kept. We LOVED it and will return again.

Wonderful view of the Aspens, Quiet neighborhood, Lovely decoratios

  • 4 of 5

It was a cool July stay so we did not need any air conditioning. As we were there for a WSWGA tournament, we did not have

time to do any of the hunting & fishing.

I personally liked the sheets on the beds, they were so soft. We had plenty of beds for all 8 women, all slept better than

normal. A large living room, with room for all to sit and visit plus a down stairs with lots of seating. I would highly recommend

this home to anyone that wants to visit the Star Valley area, as it is so beautiful.

Fabulous, beautiful, awesome family cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to stay in star valley. It was so comfortable for all of our family. It had everything we needed. We swam at the pool on the golf course and golfed a few times. We were so busy with family reunion activities and just wanted to enjoy the beautiful relaxing deck and scenery.... We hope to visit again!!

Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

The location couldn't be better! The cabin is surrounded by Quakie trees, yet the roads leading to it are paved. The neighbors are relatively close, but the trees help obfuscate that fact. There's enough room to park 7 vehicles -- maybe more if your really squeeze in there. The mosquitoes were really bad (probably due to all the rain we had in the mountain-west this last May).

Cabin Basement:

The cabin is huge!

On the basement level (really ground level) there is a huge sectional with a hideaway bed in the family room, a laundry room, a bathroom, and a garage with a ping-pong table.

Cabin Middle Level:

On the middle level is another large family/dining room attached to the kitchen. Plenty of seating between the chairs, couch, loveseat, and dining table chairs. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom on the middle level as well. The middle level bathroom had a note on it when we arrived that it was not flushing well. Hopefully they get that fixed soon. The bedrooms were plenty spacious for a few days vacation.

The kitchen had a fridge, dishwasher, double sink, and a microwave if I remember correctly. It's not the largest kitchen but it worked fine for our family.

The middle level also has 3 doors which lead to the massive wrap-around deck outside. The deck would have been far more enjoyable if not for the mosquitoes this year. The deck has a usable grill, chairs, and a picnic table.

Cabin Top Level:

The top level contains the "Master" bedroom which is also huge and has its own flatscreen TV, spacious closets, its own private half bath, and a small private deck which was really cool.

There's one other fairly large bedroom on the top level which would be great for a family with young kids who need to sleep with them. There's a shared full bathroom on the top level, and across the hall from the bathroom is a small nook for someone to sleep on a twin bed. The nook looks tiny in the pictures, but it has a real twin sized bed in it and you could probably fit another twin mattress or air-mattress on the floor next to it.

Final Thoughts:

There was no air conditioning and we were there end of June and it was HOT. Luckily it had plenty of fans furnished which made sleeping tolerable for everyone. There was plenty of room between the two family rooms to put down some air-mattresses and let the teens and tweens sleep out there and have their late night talking fests without bothering the rest of us.

Would highly recommend!!!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you had plenty of room for your needs. We think its a great place to stay with family too. Appreciate your patience with the main floor toilet, the repair man had a mix up ordering the new one and it wasn't installed as soon as I had been promised. It's all fixed up now! Thank you again for your kind review.
