A charming, self-catering Cotswolds cottage, sleeps 8, no kids under 6, no pets
Sorry but this property is not suitable for children under 6. Best described as a typical 'chocolate box' picture of an English country cottage, this stunning 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, thatched Cotswold's cottage, accommodates 8 people. The original building dates back to the 1650’s and has been sensitively added on to over the years, creating all the benefits of a spacious contemporary home but with many original features. There are two twin bedrooms, one bedroom with a queen size bed and one bedroom with a super king size bed. There are three spectacular bathrooms, two en suite, one family bathroom.

There is a great Put 'n' Take lake only 5 minutes drive from the cottage which is in a gorgeous setting and has abundant rainbow and brown trout on two small waters. You can buy a half day or day ticket on site (please, do not hesitate to contact owner for further information or link of the website).

It is excellent for both beginners and small children as well as the more experienced rider who may wish to canter out into the Cotswold countryside and see the local rural splendour first hand. Beautiful house, setting, and experience
This was a first class house with history, charm, immaculate condition, and all the modern amenities. The owner has done a terrific job making this a showcase in the middle of the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. It is convenient to all the surrounding sights, but cozy, spacious, and beautifully maintained so it's fun just to have a day inside or walking the nearby lanes and paths. One of the best we've stayed in.
Perfect country home
Charming, comfortable and well equipped, this English stone house was in the perfect location to enjoy the lovely Cotswolds. Isolated and quiet, yet minutes from all the best villages, we felt we were in a different world the moment we arrived. Thanks for everything.
Charming, stylish, large genuine Cotswolds cottage.
I am not poetic enough to rate this cottage with any justice. This property was exactly what we were hoping it would be and much more. It came equipped with very high end furnishing and decor. All the modern convenience mixed perfectly with old world Cotswolds charm.
The location was great. We were easily able to drive to all the touristy sites. The property was even more enhanced by three friendly sheep outside the windows.
There was a restaurant 4 minutes away, The Greedy Goose, with great food and an equally great staff. There is a large grocery near the house too.
Absolutely amazing Cotswold thatched cottage
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property and truly didn’t want to leave. The pictures don’t do it justice! The house was very comfortable and charming and the location was terrific. We were able to make many day trips as well as visiting Chastleton House a short walk away. I especially loved the views from the windows including neighboring sheep and cows as well as fields and hills in the distance. The location was a perfect blend of rural but very accessible to neighboring towns and villages. We also found Marcus to be very pleasant to deal with and Marcus and Laetitia clearly love their home and made it feel very warm and welcoming! We hope to visit again one day!
Immaculate, sumptuously furnished, sublimely comfortable
We hosted a series of British relatives as if we were in our home in Cambridge. It was a treat for them and for us.
Fabulous home - historic with all the modern conveniences. peaceful, convenient location
Owners were very helpful and nice to work with. They had wonderful guide book full of great suggestions for sightseeing and pubs. Lots of fabulous day trips nearby. Just down road from Chastleton House, which was great.
Fox End Cottage is located in Chastleton, 4 miles from Moreton In Marsh, in the most beautiful part of the Northern Cotswolds, 75 miles NW of London. The house is perfectly situated for sightseeing some of rural England's greatest gems. Shakespeare's Stratford Upon Avon, the splendid seat of the Spencer Chuchill family at Blenheim Palace, the ancient city with the fairytale castle at Warwick, the pretty picture postcard Cotswold villages and towns like Chipping Camden, Stow On The Wold, Moreton In Marsh, Lower Slaughter and Bourton On The Water are all within close range. Visit the world famous gardens at Hidcote or walk round the corner from the cottage to our own hamlet's National Trust property, Chastleton House (1602). Have a day in the gorgeous university town of Oxford (only 35 min by car) and don't forget to stop in the film set village of Woodstock on the way there or back.
Only two miles up the road you will find the incredible Daylesford Organic Farm Shop and Spa.
