Khow-Ga-Peh / Crockers House Moonhole, Bequia St Vincent & the Grenadines -
The monumental Khow-Ga-Peh House soars high over the sea on a promontory that towers above the ocean below. This house contains four large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and sleeping 8 guests.
From its vast main deck you can see the sun set over the West Cays, look down into the original Moonhole house and the turquoise reefs in the Bight, and gaze at the verdant mountains of St. Vincent in the distance. Ship's Stern, where cannons once guarded Bequia's harbor, stands tall across the Bight, a craggy sentinel that dwarfs passing yachts. From far below the sound of the surf crashing on the rocks resounds like distant cannons.
At one end of the vast main deck a curved whale-rib bar beckons the thirsty traveler. One level above, the wood-floored dining room comfortably seats 12. The upstairs guest room adjoins the dining room.
Down below the main deck are the master bedroom and two other bedrooms, decorated with colourful tropical fabrics and natural wood furniture, and a large studio facing the sea.
The fully-equipped kitchen has two stoves, a large food preparation area, and a refrigerator/freeze.
Idyllic Moonhole Escape -
Khow-Ga-Peh Villa is the latest addition to our selection of unique naturally air conditioned villas situated in the Moonhole community. This beautiful, secluded site offers guests an opportunity to enjoy life amongst a nature reserve.
4 Bedrooms on 4 Levels -
Sleeping 8, this spacious villa has 4 double bedrooms, all featuring cool wooden floors, built in wardrobes and cupboards and luscious ocean views. The walls have been built in local stone and follow the natural curves of the headland. Each bedroom has their own private bathroom.
A Solar Powered Eco Villa -
Khow-Ga-Peh is powered by solar panels, capable of powering lights, recharging phones, computers, batteries etc. However they cannot handle high-wattage appliances such as hair dryers - which can only be used at the Moonhole Office.
Breathtaking Ocean Views -
The sparkling azure ocean, St. Vincent and Sugar Bay can be seen from every window and viewpoint from this hand built property.
Lounges & Bar Area -
There are 2 lounge areas and a bar with wooden topped tables and curved arched windows and seating areas, ideal for guests to recline and absorb the unspoilt views and peace and quiet.
Lush Tropical Garden with Hammocks & Pond -
Lovely swinging hammocks and relaxing pond offer areas for guests to relax and unwind. The house is only accessible via a narrow winding path and 4X4 so not suitable for elderly or infant guests. The remote location does guarantee an unusual degree of privacy.
Meal Preparation & Laundry Service -
Included in the rental of Khow-Ga-Peh is the service of a dedicated cook / housekeeper 6 days per week. The housekeeper will prepare meals and provides a laundry service (guests clothing at an extra charge), leaving guests little to do but enjoy Moonholes unique benefits.
The housekeeper is at your service, and wil stock the villa with basic supplies, do the shopping for you and prepare three meals a day for you (unless you request otherwise).
The charges for food vary depending on the type of food and number of meals you request, with typical charges being $25US / $40US per person, per day. These charges are payable by cash or credit card prior to your departure.
Natural Unforgettable Environment -
The Moonhole community, created in the 60's by a group of friends who enjoyed sailing around Bequia and the Caribbean, was built using local materials sympathetically echoing the landscapes curves. The large arched windows have no glass, are open to the hummingbirds and cooling windward breezes
