About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Located on an idyllic country road, our house offers the perfect retreat for your getaway. Whether you are on vacation, work, a little of both, or visiting friends or family, we have all the amenities to make your time relaxing and enjoyable. Whether it's watching your favorite movie in our theatre room, lounging in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying a drink on the deck or sitting around the fire, you can truly escape here in our Hudson Valley home.

Our location and setup here is perfect for one family or sharing the space with another family or couple.

The main floor has a master bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom. A sliding glass door gives you private access to the deck. The second bedroom has twin beds and a third bedroom has a double bed with a second full bath across the hall.

There is a living room with a glass front wood burning stove to enjoy a fire, eating area and kitchen all in an open floor plan. There is a separate laundry room/mud room off the kitchen. All of our floors are reclaimed yellow pine and tile in the bathrooms and mudroom.

Downstairs, which is a finished basement, has a bedroom with a queen size bed and full bathroom, sitting room with sliding glass doors that lead to the outside, play room for children and the theatre room with Dolby and an 11 ft. screen is also located downstairs.

All bedrooms have linens and down comforters.

Our kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, blender, toaster,

crockpot, pots, pans, to mention a few. Has been recently upgraded to marble counters and a granite island and all stainless steel appliances.

The deck spans the length of the house in which you have private access to the hot tub, the firepit and the pool. There's plenty of room to sit around the fire, roast marshmallows, lounge by the pool or relax under the wusteria covered arbor.

We minutes from Bard college, so this is a perfect home for parents coming to visit their kids in college. We are near Tanglewood, Vanderbilt and Mills Mansion - all of which offer wonderful concerts all summer. We are minutes from Historic Rhinebeck or Hudson, both boasting many antique curios and great eateries. We are also within minutes of many wedding locales like Apple Barn Farm and Calendar House so enjoy a late night out and be only minutes from your stay. We are just shy of an hour from Jiminy Peak, Hunter Mountain, Catamount and Belleyare ski resorts favoring skiing and snowboarding in the winter and the mountain slide and rollercoaster in the summer. Try out your favorite vintage at the local wineries or stop in to pick some fresh berries at the Pick-Your-Own Greig farms.

We are also close to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds which holds events throughout the year, including one of the largest and oldest Fairs in the state, the Dutchess County Fair, held at the end of August.

So much to do and see or just relax and enjoy what our house has to offer!

Wonderful, spacious and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

Everything in the description was accurate and even more. As soon as you enter; it's like a beach house without the sand in the middle of tranquility! The pool was huge and the backyard was prepped with everything you needed (BBQ grill, sitting area, pool chairs, etc). It rained so I wasn't able to use too many amenities but I know I could've had the weather cooperated. The house was clean, spacious, with a modern kitchen and we didn't want to leave! There were books, movies, games, etc. The house is ideal to stay indoors or outdoors. I really liked all the cozy bedrooms and the finished basement with the theater room was a bonus. Kristen was one of the most nicest host one could ask for. She was very accommodating, friendly and had a quick response time. From the beginning communication with her was easy and very pleasant. What I would recommend to anyone is bring your food or if not then go pick up food. Not too many places deliver from the ones I called. Overall I highly recommend this wonderful house to anyone!!

Relaxing oasis

  • 5 of 5

We spent five days at this amazing house. They truly thought of everything to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. The movie room was a huge hit with our 6 year old and comes stocked with many movies for all ages. The pool and hot tub were extremely clean and soooooo relaxing! Cleaning up was a breeze as well, as they don't require you to do much except take trash out and put wet items in a tub; with the normal care you'd usually do. Definitely a must if you are considering this area!

Delightful NY Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Kristen was great in communicating and following up all our inquiries. All descriptions and pictures were accurate.

We stayed as a group of 6 adults, 1 baby, and 4 small dogs. The space was perfect for us with lots of space and so much activities to do. Upon check in, the house was clean, airy, and bright. There are so much activities in the back, with a full porch, grill, fire pit, and hot tub/pool. There is also a playground for small children, and movie theater. It was very quiet and private staying in the area with a supermarket only 10 minutes away. It was perfect for venturing out to farms for short visits and close to wineries. we wished we were able to stay longer!

Phenomenal Family Reunion Venue!

  • 5 of 5

My three grown daughters and I are aglow following our spectacular "Girls Weekend" made possible by our stay in this warm, cheerful, obviously loved home. The owners have taken great care to assure that their guests feel welcomed by providing them with all the comforts of home - and more. The outdoor space also is spectacular! A glorious respite in the hot tub was an added treat. The well provisioned kitchen enabled my daughters to prepare the special dinner ingredients they brought for our first dinner and to present them magnificently! We also enjoyed touring the neighboring charming towns. In short, we would HIGHLY recommend this JEWEL OF A PLACE to anyone who wishes to get away from it all and chill out!
