Great family holiday!
Beautiful location, Mauro is lovely and extremely helpful and friendly - scary drive up if you’re in a big car so take it slow!! We will miss the sunsets and the fun in the pool.
Absolutely stunning views from the terrace, pool was amazing. You definitely need a car, Mauro was great and managed to get us a taxi into Pietrasanta after numerous unsuccessful attempts by us, however we couldn't get one to come back for us and ended up having to walk home which took us 35 minutes all uphill, this was not Mauro's fault and did not spoil our holiday. Make sure you take plenty of deet spray for the mosquitos.
We had a lovely relaxing week at the villa and it was a great location to visit other parts of Tuscany
Our second time at this property
We stayed in the house for the second time. This time we were there the last week of June. The house sits above the town of Pietrasanta with outstanding views of the town below as well as the ocean and great sunsets. You have to drive on a small road to get there, which was a little challenging with a large passenger van. The house itself is two bedrooms in the main house with a kitchen and a two bathrooms. There is also a small house with a bedroom and bathroom just above the main house.
The best part of the property is the outside. The pool overlooks the town and has the aforementioned great views. We relaxed outside most of the time that we were actually at the house. The BBQ outside by the pool was put to good use and the majority of the time we ate our meals on the patio.
Can't wait to go back again sometime soon.
Just home from a lovely week at this fantastic villa,we were a party of 4adults and 3 kids, the drive up from the town was fine just take yout time and beeb your horn going round the corners it is all worthwhile when you are rewarded by the most beautiful scenery over the town towards the sea,we did use the pool although it was cold but we are from scotland no problem for us our grandsons used it everyday.go into Pietrsanta it isn't very big so you don't feel that you have missed any of it,lots of lovely shops, cafes and restaurants, very up market town, loved it.THe train station in town is central we went to pisa for the day, better than driving and parking the car.we would definatley return here, thanks to Mauro the owner who also spoke good english and was very helpful, missing our wee villa already.fantastic holiday x
Beautiful Stay, Terrific Host
We stayed in this small villa for one week at the end of August. The property itself is spectacular - overlooking an olive vineyard with unbelievably breathtaking views of the town of Pietrasanta all the way to the ocean. The bedrooms are in two separate buildings (at either end of the pool) and are comfortable - and the pool itself is very pretty (though it was pretty cool out while we were there and so we didn't use it much). The property is pretty high up the mountain and, while the first time the drive was a bit "white-knuckle", we quickly got used to it. You have complete and total privacy and, while we were traveling with our children, the spot could be very romantic.
The property is ideally located for visiting Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, and even Florence. In addition, the town of Pietrasanta is very, very fun on summer evenings - it starts on the late-ish side and seemed to keep on going long after we were ready for bed. A great square, cafes, and very good restaurants. And Marina di Pietrasanta, along the ocean, is a beautiful beach - it was very fun spending a day where the Italians take their beach vacations.
Most of all, the owner of Isola is Versilia is a terrific host. I left several items at the property and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND getting them back to me. He answers emails very promptly and was great to work with.
All in all, a great stay in a really beautiful part of Italy.
A lovely holiday
We have just returned from a week's stay in this beautiful villa and would highly recommend it. The initial drive up the mountain road is not for the faint hearted, but once you have arrived the view is breathtaking. The villa was modern, clean and comfortable with a spacious pool and garden area. Mauro was friendly, reliable and extremely helpful. An excellent holiday!
Pietrasanta is the most important place for the sculpture all over the world.
Very near to the sea. You can forget the car and use only bicycle.
Many and nice restaurants, art galleries and monuments.
