About Garrett Thelander

My wife and i bought this house because we fell in love with the area (Sharon/Lakeville/Millerton) and loved the feel of this adirondack-style house with all the modern amenities (it was built in 1996). We spend hours on the wraparound porch just savoring the pastoral views. Our kids love the privacy but also the quick access to local beaches at Mudge Pond and Lakeville.

Why Garrett Thelander chose Sharon

My wife and i chose this home as a future retirement location. We are very active outdoor types, and we fell in love with the proximity to biking, hiking, and lake activities. Also, there is an abundance of great antiquing, dining options and charming litte villages like Millerton, Salisbury and Lakeville. Lastly, winters are just as fun, as there are three ski resorts within a 30- 45 min drive (Catamount, Butternut, and Mohawk Mountains) and plenty of cross-country skiing.

What makes this cabin unique

Our house offers a very secluded setting with great views of the countryside, the perfect place to relax and unwind. There is a big lawn that is great for letting kids run around safely. Probably the thing most people like is the large chef's kitchen with an open layout - perfect for entertaining and cooking!

Comfortable and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This one is better than the pictures. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms, amazing kitchen and more spacious than expected. Highly recommended!

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

The place exceeded our expectations! Kitchen and porch were awesome! The rest of the house was amazing! Online pictures do not do the place justice, place is beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of space and very comfortable! Many little extras like good kitchen stuff were a plus and sitting on the porch in the evenings was a pleasure. We all were sorry to leave! (this was nicer than our homes!). Garrett (the owner) could not have been nicer and more accommodating! (and patient when answering my many questions). Most of our group day hiking on the AT or went to the towns/ state parks/ rail trails to hangout. Everyone had a great time, so much to do, so little time!

Many thanks for an awesome stay!

Perfect Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Place was clean, comfortable, and Garrett was so accommodating. The kitchen is our favorite, as it has everything our cooking family needed and the appliances are top of the line. We also enjoyed the views from the deck and yard, and making a cozy fire inside when it got cold. All rooms are spacious and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We would highly recommend and will hopefully return in the future!

We had a great winter weekend at this lovely home. It is even nicer than the photos show.

A very pretty and comfortable house.

Great space for spreading out, using the cozy fireplace, playing pool in the basement, cooking.

The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and clean. Beautiful views from the porch.

Relax and unwind at this secluded hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house for our son's wedding--close to Lion Rock Farm. Everything you need for a family or group that wants to be together. The kitchen/eating area is spacious, as well as the living and family room. Nice layout not to get in each other's way. The wrap-around porch adds to the appeal of the house. Towels and linens provided so no need to bring them along--even a washer/dryer! Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
