Very nice property, plenty of space & great kitchen
We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen has been redone and is great. There is a nice outdoor grill and patio downstairs. Also has a nice washer/dryer if you are traveling and need to do laundry. The price was a great value and the owner processed our security refund promptly. Very quaint neighborhood with water views if you take a walk.
Beautiful house and quiet neighborhood
When we came around the corner and saw the house it was exactly as we pictured it. We entered the house from the front and entered the very cool looking kitchen and dining area. We loved having the sliding doors open on both ends to have a crosswind. The house was clean and we had all we needed to have a nice stay. We then saw the downstairs level and was amazed by the rooms down there. We tried to open the sliding door and after trying it seemed to be stuck. I pulled and cut my finger on the screw that holds the handle. We were a little upset we couldn't open that door but overall we had a great time and the house was great.
Great way to end the summer
Great location. Tons of space
We just came back from a week long stay at this absolutely stunning home. All the reviews don’t do this place justice. Everything from the neighborhood to the home we’re perfect. We arrived at the cottage and were able to enter with no issues. The home was very impressive. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets in the closets if needed. Washer and dryer worked perfectly. The kitchen was breathtaking. And among others complaints of the lack of items in the kitchen we had zero issues and didn’t need most of the items that were there. The smell that other reviews complained about we had no issue with. Our pup came along and loved every moment there with us. The neighborhood was very dog friendly and we look forward to returning for years to come. Thank you For such a wonderful vacation! This house is one of the best rentals we’ve stayed at and you’d be missing out if you don’t stay here too!
Spacious, Cozy Harbour Island HOME!
Let me first say, I can't wait to come back! My family of 4 stayed at Kent's home for our annual Gansett vacation in August. We love Harbour Island as it's a great local. We love how close it is to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. I find myself at Stop & Shop at least every other day.
About the home: I gave our stay 4 out of 5 for the following reasons. When we first walked in, we noticed immediately ALL the dog hair in the kitchen. I was aware that animals were welcome but didn't think much more about it. My husband is allergic to dogs, so the first hour or so of us being there consisted of me sweeping, vacuuming and swiffering the main level of the house, mainly the kitchen area. He felt better the next day when the home was cleaned and aired out a bit. Our other reason for the less than perfect score for this home, was the smell in certain parts of the home :-( The home could benefit from a few dehumidifiers and a good cleaning of the rugs in the ground level. We had a hot and humid week, and although we were grateful for the ACs in the 2 master bedrooms; a few more fans or an AC in the upstairs living area would've been nice to have. One last thing I'd recommend is some more lighting in the bathrooms!!
So aside from this, we did enjoy our stay. *The renovated kitchen was amazing. We loved the open space, although it could've used a few new pans and some kitchen utensils such as tongs, spatula etc.We spent a few nights cooking in the kitchen and even when we grilled, we found ourselves hanging out in this beautiful kitchen.*The beds were SOO comfortable! The bedroom with the 4 twin beds were a hit with our boys. They thought it was fun to switch beds every night as if they were playing musical chairs LOL.
All in all, we had an amazing week. It was more room than we had expected and we all had a week of wonderful sleep from our fun days at the beach! Can't wait to come back!!!
It was great
To the owner - the house needs some work, I like where your going with the kitchen
Overall - Compared to what is out there and what people are "trying' to rent out this was super - we go to this area every year and I look forward to booking the same house next year!
