Main House has 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom and features a large covered front porch overlooking 10th Street.....perfect for relaxing with your favorite book or cup of coffee. Guest Apartment has 1 bedroom/1 bath, small porch, private covered parking, and outdoor seating area. Available for rent together or separate.
The Main House consists of a large living room, large master bedroom, good sized second bedroom, bathroom with tub/shower, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. WiFi and Satellite TV. Central Air & Heat. Washer & Dryer.
Private covered parking with generous additional parking in front of house.

Year Purchased: 2000

About the owner: Long time residents. Grandparents raised cattle, sheep, and goats in the area. Great-Grandfather was the postmaster in nearby Vanderpool. We live just outside Bandera and feel fortunate to have raised our children in the beautiful Hill Country. We love the Texas Hill Country and feel Bandera has some of the friendliest people anywhere. Our children are grown allowing us the time (and energy) to open our vacation home to guests.

Why the Owner Chose Bandera, TX, USA:
We chose this home due to its excellent location, historical charm, big front porch, and large lot. One of the original homes in Bandera (c 1890-1900), it is ideally located for walking the city. Purchased in 2000 we have spent the last decade and half renovating this home and feel privileged to be a part of its restoration. After numerous requests we have decided to open the home so guests may enjoy it also.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
Ideally located for walking the city yet on a quieter side street with plenty of parking. The large front porch is equipped with four rocking chairs just waiting for you to rock your cares away. Larger parties can rent both the Main House & the Guest Apartment. Favorite activities within 2 blocks of the cottage include: Bandera's historic Main Street, 11th Street Cowboy Bar (live bands/dancing/Wednesday Steak Night), numerous shops & honky tonks, Bandera's recently restored courthouse, the Medina River (century old cypress trees, picnic areas, walking trails, tubing & kayaking) and more. The river is also a favorite of Whitetail deer and songbirds. Some mornings/evenings you may even see a family of deer grazing/resting in the yard of the cottage!
