Amazing !

Good Day !

First off, I really don't even want to post a review, I want this beautiful property to remain a secret, however, everyone must enjoy paradise. I can tell you this, if you don't need a pool and resort life, and you want to feel comfortable, this place is for you. The hosts are great, you couldn't ask for more, Robert was very helpful with everything and anything we needed, the property is on top of the hill, has great views and lovely landscaping. I recommend renting a vehicle if you stay at this property. I would give Robert and his family 10 stars if i could. FYI - I miss that delicious rum cake !!!

The Tenant Estate lodgings by Escape Together--—may not be a big luxury hotel with fancy furniture, and its view may not be as glorious as some (though it comes close). But if you are looking for great hosts, a great place and a genuine Caribbean experience this it! With our hosts guidance, we found ourselves engaging with local people as if we were natives, taking back roads to far towns in quest of adventure, lunching in the most idyllic tropical havens..

I learned from experience that the big name hotels are like a comfort zone with their designer pools, water sports, and welcome bars, but once you enter its hard to escape them except for the obligatory Taxi Ride to Cruz Bay to do officially sanctioned tourist things, or the for an obligatory for dinner or that one trip to the beach.

Robert and his Wife’s open, friendly, Caribbean starts to rub off on you from the moment you arrive and show you around the flat. It’s clear from the get go that they have thought of everything, from strong internet connectivity, the sine qua non of any great hotel today, to fans and AC to combat warm air, and from beach chairs, to sun screen, and Off.

As you sit on the beautiful porch at Content Estates and stare off a three masted schooner at anchor in the bay below, you find your brain, disconnecting, and your body relaxing from a world where it may be your misfortune to think too hard about just about everything. It dawns on you, "Wow! I am really on vacation."

Robert and family, my hosts at Estate Contant helped me realize the best part of a Saint John vacation is not just Pina Coladas, balmy temperatures, turquoise blue waters, but the wonderful people on remarkable island.

Robert gave me a great tip for interacting with locals. "Just say, Good morning, Good Afternoon, Good evening to locals and it will make a world of difference. " I did and people consistently responded with great smiles, a helping hand, even hugs!

Robert is full of local tips and lore . . . Back roads to far towns, the Fish Ruben in Coral Bay, Hit Maho beach for snorkeling and sea turtles, dinner at Candies Barbecue, a local hangout down the road,

One thing is certain I will be back again next year. Couldn’t fit it all in. I wish I had booked in at Escape Together for a week longer. Take my advice, stay here when you come to Saint John

home away from home

this was my 3rd year in a row staying here. I already have my 4th stay in the plans. I love staying here, its close to town and easy to get to. I love the views over the balcony and the daily rainbow in the morning. The homeowners have come like family! they are great!!! the condo is clean and lively, has everything you'll need to feel like home! this review is giving away a great secret, you'll love it here.

Perfect Vacation Getaway

My husband and I stayed here on our recent trip to St. John. The locaiton was fabulous -- very close to lots of restaurants, shopping, and beaches. The unit was clean and new and well maintained, and the hosts were fantastic! The view is breathtaking! I would definately recommend this to anyone looking to visit St. John. It sure beats staying at an overpriced resort and you have all the comforts of home.

Amazing place to stay

I stayed at this location for 8 days. Owners were great and very accommodating. Condo is very clean and lively with amazing views of the bay just below. Location is very close to cruz bay, 10-15 minute walk into town. I would definitely stay in this location again and would recommend it to anyone!!!

Clean & quiet, convenient location

Property was well represented by the photo's and descriptions, and the view is even better. Very clean, quiet, with a location convenient to town. Perfect for a couple. Owner was friendly and professional. I would choose this rental again and would recommend it to my friends.

It worked very well to rent a jeep to visit the beaches, and we were able to park at the jeep rental office in town free of charge when visiting the shops and restaurants.

Highlights of our trip included: visiting Salt Pond Bay (south of Coral Bay) for snorkeling and hiking, was well worth the drive; the popular Reef Bay hike (thru Friends of the VI National Park), was glad we got reservations a month in advance; and a half-day fishing trip with World-Class Anglers, Captain Chris worked hard to provide us with an enjoyable and productive trip.

St. John, the smallest & most idyllic of the three United States Virgin Islands, is best known for its dozens of post card perfect white sand beaches, turquoise bays abounding in colorful corals & rainbows of tropical fish & endless vistas of green velvet hills. Only nine miles long & three miles wide, two thirds of the island is the Virgin Islands National Park, so its spectacular beaches & untouched forests will remain that way for generations to come & be accessible to all. There are tours of the National Park by Jeep or safari bus & hikes on spectacular trails led by Park Rangers who enrich the experience with talks on the island’s history & geology as well as its flora & fauna. Frequent visitors to St. John are beach lovers who aren’t content to only read about St. John in books but are always ready to go back to the beach.

While it is only fifteen minutes from St. Thomas, by convenient hourly ferry, St. John is the peaceful, non-commercialized, paradise of island fantasies.
