Amazing Vacation home!!!!
We had an amazing vacation at this beautiful, comfortable and all around fabulous home. It had everything you could hope for. Even wonderful jig saw puzzles and enough kitchen ware for an army. The kitchen was fabulously equipped and we used it for steaming lobsters and making family meals. Our grandchildren were just as comfortable in the house as we were. There is a lovely bay view from the deck too.
We can't recommend this place highly enough.
Wonderful Vacations! Would Definitely Come Back!!
We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful, light-filled, well stocked house walking distance to the bay beach. Everything about the house was nice - the kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms were clean, and I loved the outdoor shower. Highlights included Provincetown ( about 10-15 minutes away), biking on the Rail Trail, and hiking the Dune Shack Trail. The beach is lovely and quiet - some days we almost had it all to ourselves. John is a pleasure to work with and provided a thorough and helpful packet of information to acclimate to the area including suggestions for restaurants, beaches, entertainment, and outdoor activities. I would definitely come back!
October weekend on the Cape - Just perfect!
We had a wonderful time reconnecting with friends and family in this beautiful Truro home. Great open floor plan with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, and a great, well equipped kitchen to prepare meals with friends! Beautiful sunsets every evening! John you were great to work with throughout the process! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Of f-Season Delight
Our stay in this beautiful, spotless house was so easy and peaceful. The house provides the ideal off-season experience, with great access to a beach that is perfect for long walks. We took full advantage of the fish markets in nearby towns to prepare great meals in the beautifully equipped kitchen. The furnishings are comfortable and the design of the house (upside down, with bedrooms downstairs) was just perfect for keeping a two-year old happy while the adults enjoyed cooking, drinks on the deck, and the gorgeous ocean view. We will definitely be back!
Magical experience in Truro
The photos don't do this place justice. The space is flooded with light and extremely open, with gorgeous views of the bay. I was shocked to see how gorgeous the association beach was; truly one of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen on the Cape. John was extremely helpful both before and while we stayed in the home. The home is immaculate. We couldn't have asked for a better rental.
We started off our vacation with rainy weather, but it didn't stop us from having fun. The big table was great for playing games and just hanging with each other. The kitchen was big and had everything we needed. The house was very clean and comfortable for sitting and relaxing. The deck was huge and great for a party of 10!! The men in the group had a good time fishing at the nearby beach and a beach just down the road. Going down to the beach is a bit more of a struggle for elderly people or someone who has difficulty walking as there are alot of steps. But the beach is beautiful! Area shopping such as Orleans & Wellfleet closed earlier than we expected around 5pm. But Chatham shops were open a bit longer and were plentiful and nice! It was early in the season for the area and places stay open longer as the season gets into full swing ( we were told by a friendly lady in a store). But the upside is no crowds!! The Stop and Shop which was 10 min from the house was great and had friendly workers!
Donna. Thanks for the review. I'm glad you enjoyed the house and the area.
It sounds like you may have missed Provincetown which is 10 minutes away and is the cultural and entertainment center for the 'outer cape'. P-town has shopping, restaurants, sidewalk cafes (for people watching) art galleries, night life, theatre, fun people, and scenic MacMillan wharf. Also it is a center for fishing charters, scenic dune and harbor tours, whale watching, etc. It is June and 95% of the cape is open for business especially the larger shopping districts such as Provincetown (maybe a little less so in Wellfleet).
Live theatre at nearby Payomet and Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre, Highland Links golf course, 5 minutes to Provincetown restaurants and shopping (fishing, whale watching, restaurants and night life), Nearby Ocean beaches, Access to the national seashore, Live Music at the nearby Beachcomber, Great French Bistro with freshly baked breads and pastries every morning, Nearby trails for biking, jogging, walking, etc, nearby fresh water kettle ponds. Seal (and sometime whale) sightings right from the beach, Stripers and Bluefish from the beach, much more
