About Natali Lenning
We LOVE FAMILY and large family gatherings. We have used the cabin over the years to bring our families together and have made many good memories as brothers, sisters and cousins have grown up and have had wonderful experiences together. We have ridden quads, taken walks, gone fishing, boating, swimming and rafting, visited Yellowstone National Park several times, been to rodeos, local town fairs, roasted marshmallows, talked, played, etc.
Natali Lenning purchased this Cabin in 2006
Why Natali Lenning chose Island Park
We designed and built this cabin to allow large families to get together and make great memories far away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin is close to a beautiful reservoir open to fishing, water-skiing, jet-skiing and swimming. You can float down a nearby lazy river, or have access to some of the world's best fly-fishing. It is only 30 miles from Yellowstone National Park where you can see some of nature's most wondrous creations. Locally hike and be amazed at Mesa Falls and other hiking trails. Local trails are available for quads and dirt bikes. You are surrounded by beautiful natural scenery and wildlife such as deer, elk and moose.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Had fun but a few problems.
We loved the place and the location. Lots of fun stuff to do. But the grill didn’t work and we had to pay for propane (because it was empty) before we knew that the grill didn’t work. Also the master bath was not clean. No WiFi. Beds were super hard and water pressure is really low as well. But we had a good time.
This place was perfect for my wife's family reunion. The loft room worked great for all the cousins to sleep in the same area which the adult had their own room. Spacious living area made gathering easy!
When I was looking for a place to stay I asked how far it was from the west gate of Yellowstone and was told that it was not to far - but we drove 45 mins out before arriving. Also the pictures make it appear to be a stand alone cabin, when in fact it is in a neighborhood full of other cabins or homes. And fairly close together, which was very disappointing. When we arrived the key was inside a lock box and the owner had failed to send the information to get in, however we were blessed enough to reach her by phone after a couple of tries. On a positive note the house was large and clean and had all the amenities that were promised. There was no internet services. The other thing that I found odd was the request to stripe the beds and wash the linen, we paid enough I would have thought it was included. Also we had to take the trash to a dump site and pay to throw it away, again did not see that coming.
Overall, it was a good experience and taught me a lot about questions to ask when looking for a rental cabin or home.
The deposit was quickly returned which was good.
This cabin comfortably held 14 of us (8 kids and 6 adults) with room to sprawl out. Just as described: no wifi and cell service is sketchy at best, which made for some great old fashioned interaction. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and plenty of counter space for buffet style serving. 40 minutes from Yellowstone made it easy to drive to each day. If you are looking for a place to disconnect and chill, this is the place to be!
Fun in Island Park and Yellowstone
We had no problem renting the property and it was what we expected over all. One side of the folding doors on the closet in the room closest to the bathroom wasn’t attached. The sink in the upstairs bathroom drained very slowly, but drained okay after two applications of drain cleaner. The disposal didn’t work. Some of the dishes and pans needed to be washed before use. The use of the landfill had a minimum charge of $3, (not free like it said on the fridge). Otherwise, this large group of adults and children had a great time.
Great place for a large group!
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean and beds for everyone. The game room was appreciated, especially ping pong! Only three small suggestions. Garbage disposal did not work, need steel wool (for pots and pans), and would be helpful to know operating times of trash removal. We would definitely rent this property again!
Thanks so much for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the helpful hints. We will make sure to address them.
Close to Yellowstone National Park, Henry's Lake and the Snake River. Island Park and Henry Lake have world class fly fishing.
