Beautiful little village of Lake Odessa! Cute little shops (check schedules to ensure they are open when you arrive). Several nice family restaurants and just a charming area to visit. Bill is great to communicate with and all of his properties are in excellent condition, extremely clean, very comfortable and well decorated. This home was very roomy and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The yard was very spacious and we took some great family photos 😊. Bedrooms were comfy and roomy. Bathrooms were fantastic! The TV room was cozy with a nice view of the backyard. Checkin/check out was very simple. If you need accommodations for your pet, there are several kennels in the area as well for a cheap price (one 10mins away). We will certainly be back again!!! Thanks for the memories Bill!! See ya soon!

Comfy & Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Working with Bill was a breeze!! Easy check-in/check-out and the Garden View cottage was AMAZING!!! It had every amenity we needed and then some. The décor was beautiful and it felt so comfortable and cozy at the cottage. Indoor and outdoor there are spots to relax and enjoy Lake Odessa. We didn't end up eating at any of the local restaurants because we spent the day at the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids and checked out some things there but we did drive through the quaint town and checked out the beach too. I highly recommend staying at the Garden View Cottage!!

Great location in lovely small town

  • 5 of 5

The Garden View Guest House was way beyond our group's expectations. Setting on quiet street with beautiful gardens was lovely. Easy walking distance to downtown and grocery, drug store, café, antique shops, churches. Also can walk to lake. Interior decorating is beautiful - carpets, furniture looked brand new. Every kitchen appliance, utensil, glassware, etc that you can imagine. Bedrooms and sofa bed very comfortable (maybe level bed in front upstairs bedroom). And the entire house was spotless.

Recently renovated, spotless, comfortable beds and pillows!

Owner was wonderful to work with. Excellent job with remodel and furnishings. Very clean and comfortable. Floors are original wood and squeak A LOT. Would have liked thicker window coverings to keep the early morning light out. There are no window coverings on North side of home. (kitchen, kitchen door, and stairway). Stayed alone and felt exposed. The window on the stairway is across from the bathroom. An opaque window covering would be nice. No TV in bedrooms and no DVD, but basic cable with PPV in livingroom. There is a washer and dryer on second floor. Refrigerator has an ice maker. Would definitely recommend this property. The local bakery is excellent! The lake appears clean, though I didn't go in. Beach is clean. Beach volleyball available. Bowling alley next to beach. Antique shop is large and looked interesting, but was closed on the day I went. Very nice park within walking distance of guest house. Great for picnics and kids, but no trails. A nice place to visit. Centrally located to larger cities.

Looking for houses

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I went to Michigan to look for a retirement home and did not want to stay in a hotel for all of the known reasons. So we took a chance on renting a home in a small town. Wow were we surprised. The Garden View guest house was amazing. From the moment we stepped in the door we had our breath taken away. So well decorated, clean and well appointed. We must have said "this place is great" or " what a fantastic find" at least 10 times. It had everything we could possibly want and more. Would stay the any time in the future.
