Cabin itself was nice. Furnishings however were awful. Furnishings were wore out and sunk when you sat on them. Felt like you needed to be pulled out. Very uncomfortable. Beds were impossible. Hard and made noise at every turn of the body. My husband and I couldn't sleep together when one or the other rolled over we woke up. The hot tub, creek and location was best. Tried to make a Primb Rib for New Year's Eve, oven couldn't hold temp. Ruined a $50 piece of meat.

We rented the cabin for 7 nights left 3 nights early couldn't stand any more. Notified owner on second night of our issues. She just reassured on what she had paid for stuff and when and all the positive reviews they have had. I feel I am owed a refund of the 3 nights we didn't stay because of the accommodations. Oh and dog hair was every where. I would sit on the couch and have fur all over me.

Perfectly Peaceful

We loved our stay at the cabin on Collett Creek! The cabin is very well done with all the amenities, very clean, comfortable and relaxing. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect location for exploring and the hot tub on the deck with the sounds of the babbling creek were simply wonderful. A truly enchanting place.

Owner's Response: Hi Stephanie and thank you for taking the time to post a review of the cabin. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. It is such a convenient place to stay for anyone attending a wedding at the beautiful Hawkesdene House. I hope that you will come back and stay with us again in the near future. It was an absolute beautiful place and beautiful setting. Close to everything we wanted to do in the area. The owners were so helpful and easy to get in touch with. You will not be disappointed if you stay here and we hope to be able to stay here again in the future.

Owner's Response: Hi Karen and thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay at the cabin. We love hearing from our guests and really appreciate the feedback. So glad you had a good time. I just returned from the cabin after a weekend stay with my mom and her friend and had a wonderful time. They couldn't believe how much cooler it was up there (they are from Florida). I hope to hear from you again in the near future. Take care! Lindy

The only negative is the kitchen needs a broiler. Other than that all was great! Will be back!

Owner's Response: Hi Peggy and Charles. Thank you for taking the time to post a review of the cabin. So glad you had a great time at the cabin and I can't wait to get up there myself next weekend and see the Camellia you planted. I hear it's beautiful. Yes, the broiler pan has been an issue. I have replaced that pan twice over the past 4 years. Some renters just feel it's ok to take them with them. They are very hard to find for those small ovens but I'll see what our options are for your next stay. Take care and I hope to hear from you in the near future! Lindy Smith

Exceeded expectations!

Enjoyed our stay! The cabin was private comfortable, very clean, well equipped, right on the creek, close to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters and some amazing hiking in nearby Nanahala National Forest. Grateful as the owners were extremely nice to work with and flexible when our plans changed. We'll be back :)
