About Angela Walsh

Our family loves to ski! We originally owned a home in Copper Mountain but eventually moved to Beaver Creek where the altitude is not quite as high, and the mountain is much more family friendly and much easier to navigate.

Angela Walsh purchased this townhome in 2000

Why Angela Walsh chose Beaver Creek

We love the Colorado Rockies. Beaver Creek is a gem of a resort, tucked away far from the highway, and we're always in awe of it's beauty as we drive up the mountain to our home. Beaver Creek and the surrounding area offers an abundance of shops and restaurants. We find it very easy to access. We can fly to Denver and then drive 11/2 hours, or fly into Eagle Vail and drive 35 minutes. Eagle Vail has many direct flights from major cities in the winter season. Beaver Creek is truly a family resort. It has a world renowned children's ski school, and first class instructors for adults. Beaver Creek is small enough that you can never get lost, yet large enough to never have to ski the same run twice in a day. They have updated the lift system considerably since we came to the valley in 1997, so access to the more difficult and challenging areas has been made so convenient, and we get even more runs in, in a day! Our boys are serious hockey players and many days after skiing they will pop down to the town of Avon ( 8 min drive) and have a game of pick up hockey on the outdoor rink. Beaver Creek is well situated as it is close to many world class resorts, including Vail, which is only a 20 minute drive. After a full day of skiing, we love walking out our back door and hiking up the mountain. The serenity and peace is truly therapeutic, and watching the sun set from high atop, is magical. The other options after a full day, is to simply relax in the outdoor hot tub, do a few laps in the outdoor pool at the Hyatt, or Highlands Lodge, enjoy the spa and/or a treatment at a number of different hotels in the village, or just cosy up with a book around the wood burning fireplace.

The summer is a special time in the mountains. The colors are stunning, and the air has little or no humidity. There is mountain biking, rafting, hiking, tennis, golf e.t.c . At the end of the day you can enjoy the large deck with a bbq and soak in the beautiful views and the summer sky.

What makes this townhome unique

At our home, you can walk to the village and stroll around watching the skaters on the village rink, or do some serious shopping at any number of luxury stores. Mid-week housekeeping is included for a week or longer.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We would definitely give this property 5 stars. It is a great townhouse in a great location. The size was perfect for our family of 5 (you could easily have 8 or 10 people) for a summertime month. We never felt crowded and the house lives so well because there are multiple gathering areas.

It is an easy walk to the village and to the mountain trails. We hope to stay again for a winter visit!

Ski in/Ski out perfection!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with 2 families (2 couples, 4 boys ranging from 7-15) and this was the perfect home. Outfitted with all that you would ever need - stocked kitchen, firewood for the large family room fireplace, sleds for the kids - you name it. Excellent location - easy ski out to the lift and ski in right up to the back door at the end of the day or for a lunch break. Spacious and well laid out "mud room" for storing skis, boots, jackets, etc.

Owner was great to work with and responsive to any need that arose. Highly recommend this property for your family ski vacation.

The Perfect Multi-Family Ski In / Ski Out Condo

  • 5 of 5

What more can I say but AMAZING. The pictures of this condo show a beautiful condo but don't do it justice as to how perfect it really is.

We stayed with two other families, a total of ll people ( 6 adults and 5 children) and never felt tight in any way. The space is laid out wonderfully to allow everyone there spot without ever feeling cramped.

Location was great. Perfect for ski in/out to highlands lift for beginner skiers, centennial lift for whole mountain access, and straight to kids ski school.

Dial a ride was a 5 minute pick up and drop off.

When we go back to Beaver Creek, we won't want to stay anywhere else.

Thanks Angela for being a Great Host and providing your wonderful townhome for rent.

January Visit

  • 5 of 5

The home is vey nice and in a great location, right on the Highlands ski slope. The house has great ski in/ski out access and is located in the Greystone community. The unit is a large 4 bedroom home that is perfect for families with kids. I would highly recommend it if you are considering a trip to beautiful Beaver Creek.
