Quiet and Relaxing
This property is very nice but one must remember not a hotel so if your looking for room service or drinks by the pool you will not find it here. Big unit with all that you require. This is great to bring the whole family including your pets. It is very quiet and relaxing and Norman (owner/prop mgr) is great!!!
Very good advice and I am glad you enjoyed your stay here.
We are a resort condo complex, not a hotel.
There are differences:
Hotels are usually better for short stays with small groups.
Condo's are usually better for longer stay with larger families.
Hotels clean the rooms every day. (average 15 minutes)
Condo's are cleaned before you arrive and after you leave.(average 3 hours)
Hotels usually give you a bedroom & bathroom.
Condo's give you an entire home (in this case 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, den & 4 balconies).
Hotels have restaurants & bars on site. Many have room service, serve drinks by the pool and beach.
Condo's have a kitchen, restaurants & bars nearby, You make or bring your drinks to the pool or beach.
To sum it up, you cannot say one is better then the other. Both have their pros & cons. You need to decide what you feel is important to you and choose among the options accordingly.
This is the place to chill and fish. Everything we wanted was on the property. The townhouse was clean and large and I was able to bring my dogs. We'll definitely be back.
I am glad you and your dogs enjoyed your stay here.
It was a pleasure having you.
I look forward to seeing you here in the future.
Really enjoyed our stay. They did a herculean clean up post hurricane and Norman tried hard.
Just too bad for us that the beach was unusable. This was important for us when we booked pre-Irma. We certainly don’t gold Norman responsible for acts of God and, despite being stretched too thin, he tried to meet out other concerns with the unit (N4) in a timely manner. We’ll come again.
Thank you Martin for the compliments regarding my post Hurricane Irma clean up and restoration. I had been working 18 hours a day, 7 days a week since the hurricane to restore and improve my units here and the lands around it.
I am sorry about 2 of the 3 beaches here not being ready for you. I have had 2 truckloads of sand, sitting in a big pile on one of the beaches, ready to be spread since the middle of October. But the the County required a permit to put sand, on sand, where sand used to be prior to Irma.
It took the County 2 & 1/2 months to issue the permit to add new sand, to replace the sand lost, due to the hurricane. We were able to add the sand and restore the 2 Ocean Front beaches a week after you left.
I look foreward to showing you the restored sandy beaches when you return.
Great location and great management! May 2017
We recently spent 5 nights at the Kawama Yacht Club and could not had been happier with our time there. I have been staying in the keys using vrbo and homeaway for years and can say with certainty that this place is a hidden gem in Key Largo. The photos do not do the property justice, and the unit also had significant renovations completed recently...so we were pleasantly surprised by what ended up with. The property is huge and very quiet at night, and had plenty of gathering areas, outdoor cooking/dining and beach areas. The large saltwater lagoon was a unique part of the property, and was great to swim/snorkel and was full of fish.
Norman and Nina were great to deal with and handled any concerns that we had. Nina gave us a 5 star tour of the large property and it's amenities. Kayaks, paddle boards, a golf cart, fishing and snorkeling equipment, etc were all included and kept us occupied while not out on the boat. The pools were nice and had plenty of chairs, tables, tiki areas etc. to accommodate anyone. The long jetty that extends from the property into the Atlantic is also a neat touch and gives you a great view.
Nearby are The Pilot House and Key Largo Fishery which are definitely places to check out. I stopped in the Fishery on the way out and made sure to pick up some great fish to take home with us. Cant wait until we come back!
Highly recommended location and we will be back again.
Thanks Bill for the kind words.
I am constantly upgrading the units and trying to provide amenities that my guests will enjoy.
I am very glad you enjoyed your stay here and look forward to seeing you here again soon,
Come as you are!
You can not beat the price! The Hilton would have been twice the price because we need 2 rooms to accommodate our family. My husband and I traveled with 6 kids, mostly teens, for a long weekend in the keys. Norm has all the stuff so you only have to bring food. We had fun in the pools, swimming in the lagoon, snorkeling at Pennekamp, fishing, night time walks out on the jetty, etc. The golf cart was very popular with the teens. We left some clothing items in a bedroom drawer and the owner was kind enough to notify us and send back. This was above and beyond.
Thank you for the kind words.
I listen to my customers and try to have the "Stuff" (Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Bikes, Snorkeling Gear, Fishing Equipment, Noodles, Pac & Play cribs, Strollers, etc...) that you want.
People are always leaving something here and I am at the Post Office about once a week sending clothes, cell phones & phone chargers, important papers, jewelry, etc...back to their owners. If it is important to you, it is important to me.
Perfect Keys Vacation Spot
If you are going to vacation in Key Largo, this is the place to stay! The condo had everything we needed for an enjoyable time! It was far enough off the main road to be restful and yet close enough to see other attractions. The perks Norman provided (bikes, kayaks, golf cart and more) just made our stay even better. We had a blast watching the iguanas around the place. We love kayaking and seeing the ocean life up close. My absolute favorite thing to do was to go out on the jetty and watch the sunrises and sunsets! This place has a warm and welcoming sense of community, and we loved every minute of it! Thank you Norman!
Thanks for your wonderful comments.
Yes, the location is about as perfect as you can find and from the comments of people who have stayed here (only a small percentage write a review) and left notes or sent me an e-mail, I have learned that my customers want fishing gear, tennis equipment, bikes, strollers, pac & play cribs, kayaks, paddle boards, dive masks, fins & snorkels, etc... Over the years, I have acquired these things that give my customers an enjoyable vacation at no extra charge.
The resort / condo complex is surrounded on 3 sides by the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. We are an island of humanity surrounded by a see of nature.
Yes we have warm weather and some small beaches,, but most people come here for fishing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and sightseeing.
CVS & Walgreens are 1 mile from our entrance. Publix & K-Mart are 2 miles from us.
There are 20 restaurants within 2 miles an over 50 restaurants within 5 miles. You are close enough to walk to a half dozen restaurants/bars.
We are close enough for anything you may need, yet far enough away to be quiet.
