About David & Geeta Lipinski
Have lived and enjoyed the Berkshires all my life, very happily married for 35 years with a Nepali woman i fortunately met while serving in the Peace Corps back in the early '80's, and we are blessed with two good and healthy sons, a loveable wirehaired pointing griffon dog, and a siamese "guard cat". Love to run and be in the outdoors as much as possible. This is our third rental to share with others ( the other 2 are listing numbers 334421, and 3510171 ).
David & Geeta Lipinski purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2015
Why David & Geeta Lipinski chose Lanesborough
Its wonderful setting surrounded by water and the outdoors and wildlife...also, it was the first home originally built in this village back in the mid-1800s.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
the tranquil location and yard, and easy comfort of the home and all the new clean remodeling with all new furniture and appliances. The bird watching is particularly incredible; birds seem to be everywhere all the time! Many have commented that this spot like a Shangri-La.

Clean and comfortable, lovely lake view
My husband and our friends stay over one of the coldest Thanksgiving weekends ever. The Lakehouse was warm and comfortable day and night. We enjoyed the kitchen area the most, with the beautiful look of the lake, the warm floor and a well equipped kitchen to celebrate the ocassion. David was always helpful and responsive. I strongly recommend this place.
Rest and relaxation in a beautiful lakehouse
My husband and I, along with our two dogs spent a long and relaxing weekend at this beautiful lakehouse. The house is as pictured. We hope to come back.
Wonderfully scenic and quite.
Even after a snow storm the day before, David made sure the long driveway was plowed and everything ready for our arrival. The house was in great shape and we spend many hours looking at the lake or playing cards in the kitchen. Radiant heated floors made everyone cozy warm but the quietness of the area made it very relaxing. Thanks for a relaxing time. Joe and Leslie.
We all loved this spot!
It was lovely to look out at the lake and the wildlife. The house was comfortable, clean and cozy! We will be back!
Beautiful setting, home updated, clean, comfy . All you need is there.
Cold, snowy weather kept us mostly indoors, but plenty of beautiful scenery from the abundant windows. Would like to return to enjoy the lake in warm weather. Jetted tub was great. Heated floors made for cozy feel. Plenty of room for our party of 6.
The house was cozy and very clean. It's location next to the bike path is perfect for bike rides and long walks. I would stay again.
The setting is peaceful and serene with a big broad unubstructed view of the lake and stream. The spot is like a private peninsula jutting out by itself into the lake where the stream enters the cove. A pond then waterfall then rushing stream then the lake greets you as you enter the private driveway down to the lakehouse. This clean and handsome home has been completely remodeled in 2016 with wood all around and radiant heat marble tiles in the huge kitchen and bathrooms. Nearby within an easy walking distance is the 11 mile Ashuwillticook Rail Trail perfect for walking, biking and running. It is also less than one mile to the movie theater and a renowned farm and country market that hosts numerous seasonal events, especially for children. The renowned Appalachian Hiking Trail leading to the Mt. Greylock State Reservation is a few minutes away , as well as the year round Jiminy Peak Resort. State parks and lakes and forests are just about everywhere to go out on a hike or picnic or swim or to fish or to sight-see. The lakehouse is a PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX AND ENJOY!
