We have created the ultimate vacation experience on the BEST BEACH in town. Using 'Top-of-the-Line' finishes (Stainless, Granite Counters, 100 yr old Heart of Pine floors) and soft beach colors, it looks like you are walking into a Coastal Living centerfold. Almost everything is NEW! New Kitchens, New Baths, New Furniture. New Technology. Every bedrooms comes with wall mounted TVs and Wireless Internet.

Cottage 1 is the largest Home with two kitchens. Both floors come with 12 x 40 to 50' Oceanfront Covered Porch. The first floor is a 3 Bedroom (1 King, 2 Queen) 3 Baths with Queensize Sleeper Sofas in the Great room and the Study (Sleeps 10). Upstairs is 2 Bedroom 2 Bath plus a bunk room for small children complete with their own TVs and a daybed in one Bedroom (Sleeps 9). The entire home sleeps 19 and comes with 4 car garage. Rents as whole unit, not separate floors.

Located on The Best Beach In Town. If you are not from the area you need to read this to see the difference. Your family will thank you.

There are 4 distinct Beaches in St Augustine. Be sure and find out “where” your beach house is located before you book. I believe this is the Best section for 5 reason:

First is the Sand. The sand is like powder, not coarse ground up shells like Vilano to the north. This is the white powder you are looking for. Great for drip castles!

Second, at Ocean Is Right At Your Door Step. There is no long raised boardwalk like further south along Atlantic View with a 5 minute walk across the dunes to navigate with the cooler & chairs before you ever get to the water. Here the ocean and the View is steps from your door. Be careful. There are some “beachfront” homes that are so “far from the beach” because of the sand dunes that you can hardly “see” the ocean.

Third, there are No Cars. This is a major distinction. Everything south of A Street has Cars. Imagine trying to play paddle ball or throwing football with cars continually passing by & having to be on constant baby alert. Not while you are on vacation!

Fourth, the beach is WIDE with Great Waves - Some beaches in Vilano to the north are narrow & steep, some even with rocks. The slope of the beach affects the waves. They break so close in you can't boogie board. The locals consider this the Best Surfing around. There's a friendly Surf shop with lessons & rentals right down the street on 1st Lane if you have some adventurous ones. The rest will have plenty of fun with the boogie boards provided by Seaside Cottages free of charge.

Last, the beach is within Walking Distance of loads of restaurants. Many beaches both north and south are so isolated you have a long drive to get to anything. Not here. It is so nice to be able to walk over to a restaurant for breakfast or send the kids out for a fish sandwich instead of having to cook. Publix jSupermarket and Starbucks are only 1 mile away. There is a park nearby with Tennis and a YMCA for swimming or workout. Even a funky BBQ restaurant with live music and a Pool for their guest. The City has a pier with Splash park, Volleyball court and Live Music on Wednesday nights. Call for a list of Things To Do.

Why Linda Bayles chose Florida North East

In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world.

I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub . If you have never played, you should. I make sure there is one in each house and once you are hooked and have one of your own, hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play. (Call and I will give you the rules)

So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 22. It has been a rewarding success.

In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on 3 Oceanfront lots. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We just put them on the market in June 2012.

Now we can accommodate up to 35 in one location! Cottage 1 is 5 bedroom 5 bath plus 2 sleeper sofas, 1 daybed and 2 bunks. Cottage 2 is a 2 Bedroom 3 bath plus sleeper sofa. Cottage 3 (here) is a 2 bedroom 2 bath with Sleeper. And Cottage 4 is a 1 bedroom 1.5 bath with Sleeper.

The Best part is not only the houses but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Everything within walking distance…. And we now have homes on 2 of the them!

I hope you will come stay with us and create memories you will cherish for a lifetime. Then I will consider it a success.

We rented cottages one and three for our weeklong family reunion and had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed being so close to the beach. Since there were 26 of us we had a problem finding all the bedding we needed at first. However, the places are well furnished with flat screen TVs everywhere. The adults thoroughly enjoyed the upstairs balcony of cottage one with the evening breezes and nice view.

An Unforgettable experience

It was really impressive that my mother-in-law found this property for my sister-in-law's wedding. I loved how all the families were together and it was oceanfront. I have two young boys who loves the beach so this property topped it off. It is still close to everything you needed to do whether it is downtown St. Augustine or the beach. Overall, this was the perfect spot! It beats the hotels anywhere else in St. Augustine!

Perfect Oceanfront Home for a Family Reunion

Nineteen family members, ages one to seventy one rented Cottages 1 and 2 at Seaside Cottages. This beautiful property is as listed regarding location, layout and amenities. The decorations are just as pictured from artwork to the bedding on all of the beds. The kitchen is up to date with all appliances, cookware, bar ware, dishes and silverware.. Everything anyone could possibly need. The upper deck has a fantastic view of the ocean with a lot of outdoor furniture. The lower patio and back BBQ area are very nice and comfortable. We took advantage of the grills several of the nights. The beach is only a short walk awa;y. We hired a local photographer to take family pictures on the beach. A lot of fun!! Great place to stay!!!

Lovely! Beachy! Roomy!

Perfect for a large family gathering like ours and the location is ideal for being on the beach and exploring the neat treasures in the town. Decor is updated and nice and has a "Restoration Hardware" feel to it. The kitchen is well stocked with tools needed to cook meals.

The property manager, Linda, was available as promised with a question and very helpful.

There are a few paint touch ups, particularly in the upstairs kitchen, that could be had and the bedrooms would greatly benefit from black out curtains or darker curtains as the morning sun shines in very brightly, very early.

We enjoyed our stay very much!

Awesome, so nice and clean!

The view from the upper level of cottage 1 is amazing. My family and I rented the upper and lower levels of cottage 1. We spent the mornings on the upper level deck watching the sun come up and the evenings on the deck watching the moon come up over the ocean. The property was very clean and well stocked with towels, paper products, dishes,beach toys for the kids, beach chairs, and boogie boards, everything you need to make you feel at home.

While planning our trip I contacted Linda several times and she always responded quickly.

From time to time a staff member was on site to take care of the outside landscaping.

I have already recommended this rental property to several friends and co-workers.

The trolley tours are a great way to spend time when you need a little break from the beach.

We will definitely rent this property again.

Fantastic Home

The house was wonderful - lovely decorations, ample space, and a beautiful scene with a constant ocean breeze that kept the June temperatures tolerable. My family rented both floors that we used as a reunion site. The two kitchens on each floor were super helpful during meal prep with 15+ people in the house. Also the house is fully equipped with everything you would need, especially everything you need for the beach - chairs, canopy, umbrellas, toys, boogie boards, etc. The owners were very responsive to all our requests and took care of them immediately. Could not have been more pleased.

HIGHLY recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.

wonderful location; very nice house

We had both floors of Cottage #1. The upstairs is the place to be. We used the downstairs for sleeping only, even though it has a kitchen too. It is very dark down there. Upstairs is lovely and the porch with the view is truly wonderful. Kitchen is well equipped and house is very clean. TV reception was disappointing as there is no hd even tho the tvs are hd, and the tvs in the kids' bunks did not work. I think these issues are going to be addressed. The location is very convenient, close to everything and the garage has a great supply of beach chairs, floats, etc. We had a blast and definitely would recommend this property.
